I HIGHLY recommend BYC for sailing lessons. My son and I took the Basic Cruising Keel Boat course and this school delivered way more than I expected. Instructor Dave was extremely knowledgeable, professional and very patient. Not only did my son and I pass the SailCanada practical and written exams - we walked away from the course confident in our ability to handle a sailboat safely.

Learning to sail has been interesting. Started with Kate who is new. Booked Kate again but was told by Morgan that they cannot do private and without any valid reason would refund monies which I never asked for.. They advertise weekends for private and were given numerous accommodating dates but suddenly cannot arrange to follow-up with a lesson. You advertise private, have been paid, so what is the issue? Very unprofessional!

The only 3 flavors of pizza offered after Wednesday race night were Hawaiian, Canadian and vegetarian. All terrible choices! How is there no pepperoni?!?!?! Whoever ordered the pizza needs to learn to appreciate the simple things in life.

Not at all pleased with the administration (Board) of this place! I was referred these guys for an emergency service call (I am a Locksmith) -- and the gentleman who met me there agreed to my terms of service. He said he couldn't pay me directly but assured me that the accountant would pay me upon receipt of the invoice. It took almost 10 days and numerous emails to get paid for a small invoice that was POD! The Accountant/Treasurer (Thomas Bolland of Bolland Associates) was rude and cavalier in his communications. I wouldn't do business with this group if my life depended on it!
