Sandy was referred to me by a good friend. I built a large addition onto my house which included a two bedroom, one bathroom suite on top of a large two car garage. Despite my plans being very poor as done by someone before I met Sandy, she was able to catch several deficiencies before and during the building process.I was very pleased that it went so smoothly, stayed within my budget and finished on time. Sandy made sure to coordinate the trades so that something was happening nearly every day and informed me of times when there might be delays in timing. I really enjoyed the trades she works with who take pride in their work. Sandy kept the job site clean and encouraged her sub-trades to do the same.Sandy did a detailed spreadsheet for me initially with my budget, subsequent quotes, and actual costs. She kept me informed of changes due to actual costs. Even with some unforeseen problems due to the layout of my property and existing house, we were able to come very close to projected costs.I am extremely happy with the way it turned out and have recommended Sandy to several people now who also have decided to go with her over several other contractors they have interviewed. Sandy of Sanmor Construction was hired to manage a home interior renovation. We got full value for her services. She sourced and managed all of the sub-trades, in a timely manner and within budget. Her selected tradespeople were friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and provided timely performance (all: gas fitters, plumbers, electricians, cabinet makers, flooring & tile setters, drywallers, appliance suppliers and installer). Sandy did three things for us: (1) suggested reputable professional tradespeople, (2) managed the renovation in an efficient, coordinated and timely manner and within budget, (3) most importantly removed the stress and anxiety of such project from us (a retired couple).

Sandy was really easy to work with. We added 2 washrooms to our church building and needed it done in a short time frame. They delivered on time and on budget (we added scope as we went that added to the budget). She was extremely responsive to questions and requests. Her trades were very professional and tidy. I would highly recommend Sandmor for a commercial project.

Recently, my partner and I completed a renovation of our home in Penticton. The experience we had working with Sandy Morris, Sandmor Construction, was very positive. We lucked out and found a reputable, responsible, efficient and competent contractor. We have build a house in the Cariboo and renovated a house in Vancouver. Working with Sandy was by-far the best experience we have ever had with a contractor. We would certainly work with her again if we have a need.In total, our renovation took 6 months. During this time Sandy had the house replumbed, patched drywall, installed almost complete new flooring throughout, new trim, new interior doors, complete renovation of the kitchen and ensuite bathroom, 2 fireplace updates, updated electrical, and repainting. Sandy organized all building activities in a logical manner and she kept me informed of the scheduling. We met regularly with Sandy, and sometimes with the subtrades to get updates on progress and for signal checks on next steps. She was easy to speak to and provided honest opinions which were very helpful.Sandy monitored and updated the budget regularly and billed me upon charges from the subtrades at milestones and after completion. With every payment, she provided an updated table with initial estimate/actual cost/payment received. She built in contingencies into the budget. But, almost all higher costs were due to our own personal preferences in requesting more expensive building options during the work. There were no unexpected surprises in the billing.We received some free time consultation with a designer, Denise Klassen. She worked closely with us in our kitchen/bathroom design selections. What we appreciated was Denise's ability to translate our tastes into actual selections that worked well together and respected the budget. We love how everything looks and have no regrets with our selections. Sandy's company and trades are out of Kelowna and that was not a problem for us with our Penticton renovation. The only change we would have made would be to purchase our new appliances locally which would have been more convenient.Rick Feeney
