Spackman Dental

This was our family dentist since they took over the practice from the previous dentist. We have been happy with the dental care over the years however our recent experience has been very disappointing and has led our family to find a new dentist. My son (who is a child) required extensive dental work (fillings), we did a predetermination for the work in August 2021, this work was done over several months and appointments ending in November 2021. The dentist went beyond the scope of work that we agreed to be done and maxed out our coverage (by October 2021), leaving us with a large surprise invoice. This was never discussed with us (or him) during any of these appointments. After reviewing the predetermination and our invoices from Spackman, we were able to find over $1000 in work that was done that was beyond the scope of the predetermination and was never discussed with us (or ok'd to be done by us), this is directly the reason that we ran out of coverage. Communication is lacking. Upon discussing our concerns after finding out the work exceeded the predetermination and being stuck with a large bill, we were told they were looking out for his oral health, which I certainly could appreciate, however as his parents we should have been alerted and would have simply extended the work into the New Year when more coverage would have been available. This entire situation could have been evaded had they communicated with us along the way.

I went to this dentist for about 1 year. At first I liked the service and the office but the last couple of times have not been a great experience. The front desk seem very disorganized and always in a rush. I had booked a teeth cleaning 6 months in advance and received a call 2 weeks before my appt stating the hygienist was going to be away and they needed to reschedule. I was not impressed and decided to change dentists.Just a quick update, Dr Spackman did call me and apologized, after I posted above review, which I appreciated. Due to Covid he's going through some staffing issues so totally understandable. Dr Spackman is a great dentist and I would go back once things settle and the new normal kicks in.

So full disclosure, Dr. Scott and Mark Spackman are my cousins, so that is why I started going to see them. Despite my family relations, these guys are amazing dentists. I would be more than happy to see them even if I wasn't related to them. Besides being professional and friendly, they are both EXTREMELY talented. Seriously, if you want a good quality and competent dentist this is the place you want to go.

Dr. Spackman and his team are great. The hygienist is wonderful and my cleanings have always been great. I recently went to Dr. Spackman with my first cavity and wasn't too excited about the whole ordeal. He walked me through it, reassured me, and had me fixed up and walking away good as new in no time. He's super knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and gives it to you straight. He's got a loyal customer in me.

Amazing dental clinic! I’ve been going here for years and haven’t had an issue once. Dr Spackman is super nice and very friendly, and all the hygienists are also amazing! I would highly recommend this clinic for anyone. Very clean environment and modern place as well.

Dr Spackman is an incredible dentist. I have never had to wait for my appointment. He is efficient, professional, and helps educate you on your service. But I can't forget the amazing dental assistants working for Spackman. They make you feel so comfortable. They are warm and welcoming. If you are looking for a new Dentist then look no further .... this office is the best of the best !!!

Had to find a new dentist and came here after looking at some reviews. But after our first family visit, I'm glad we came. The staff here is so polite, and very patient with children. As a matter of fact, Dr. Spackman and his staff were so friendly my 5 year old warmed up in a matter of minutes.The office isn't very big, but it's very clean. I cannot stress enough how great the staff were. What a great change of pace from our previous dental office!Parking is plentiful but limited to 2 hours. The office is on the 2nd floor and tucked away a little in the back. There is also a clean washroom close by the elevators.Bring your kids if they are afraid of the dentist! Dr. Spackman and staff will change their minds in a jiffy.

Dr. Scott Spackman and team have gone above and beyond to ensure my family receives excellent dental care.As an RN, I not only value his extensive knowledge, but even more so his wonderful demeanor. He is one of the most caring practitioners I've had the pleasure to meet. I chose to switch over to Dr. Spackman after seeing my prior dentist for many years and I have been extremely impressed. He is always very pleasant while thoroughly explaining his recommendations for treatment. He is clearly passionate about his work and manages to deliver care with very little discomfort.Dr. Spackman's team is equally compassionate and knowledgeable, especially the front office staff who helped me to navigate my nagging insurance coverage issues!I would recommend Dr. Spackman to anyone and have now entrusted my entire family in his care.

A+++; I cannot say enough positive things about this dental clinic. The staff are friendly, courteous, extremely good at what the do, and highly professional. The atmosphere in the clinic is very welcoming and relaxed. I had an unfortunate dental emergency just a few days before flying overseas for a wedding (I will admit to being a fastidious patient); Dr. Spackman and his staff consistently implied great care while listening to my every concern and thoroughly explaining options in order to make me feel at ease. Thankfully, due to Dr. Spackman's attention to detail, professionalism and accommodating nature and genuine concern and care, I was very well taken care of. Needless to say, I have recently changed my dental clinic to be Spackman Dental - I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a exceptional dentist, friendly and professional team and an office with a great atmosphere.

Went to see Dr Mark Spackman today, and I am normally very nervous about my visits. I usually have to take an Ativan to help me feel relaxed but I found Dr Mark Spackman to be very knowledgeable, gentle, very caring and compassionate. His staff was very helpful and kind.I would recommend anyone to go to this office.
