I had a pleasant and smooth experience with Nesto. The first person I spoke with, Alexander Rojas, was really responsive and knowledgeable. Since it was my first home purchase, I had a lot of questions and he was able to answer them all. He was able to get me a pre-qualification and explained the next step to me.Once I was ready to purchase, I worked with Laura Maria Nigro to close the deal. Really enjoying the process so far, I locked in a 150 day rate hold to protect against further rate increases. Working with Alexandre has been easy and straightforward. I'll report back in the fall if I end up switching from Desjardins to Nesto, right now it looks like I will be switching lenders to go to Nesto due to the much lower rate.

It's been an overall great experience. There was a few times that the advisor made us feel that we were under investigation like we were lying about our application, however, it's like that at other mortgage lenders too. That being said I never felt like we were just another numbered customer. The advisors are really helpful when needed for online stuff, which I'm not the greatest at. Now that we are moved into our place, Nesto customer service have been great answering every questions, making it easy to add extra money on the loan. I highly recommend Nesto.

The phone agents helped me navigate some error messages.Overall, I would use Nesto again.

I was skeptical of using an online mortgage broker but I had a great experience with Nesto. My advisor, Alin, was super helpful. She clearly answered all of my questions and guided me through every step of the process (I was a first time home buyer). I was able to reach her by email or phone and she always responded to my messages promptly. I got a good interest rate and was able to complete the entire process without ever even leaving my home. It was really convenient and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this as a great alternative to going to one of the big banks.

I worked with Alexander Rojas at Nesto while we were shopping for a mortgage recently. He was awesome to work with -- he responded quickly, gave helpful information, and he was direct and transparent about our options. If this was a review just about his service, it would have been 5 stars. In the end, we ended up going with a different lender because we wanted more prepayment options that Nesto just didn't offer (but Nesto's rate was the lowest of anyone out there by far).The good:- *Alexander Rojas* - he was reliable and responsive. He prioritized working on our application when we were in a time crunch, and communicated clearly. He listened.- Nesto's rates were extremely low -- 0.14% lower than the best we could get from a virtual lender with our mortgage broker- Nesto's pre-payment privileges are better than average (although we were still able to find a lender that could offer even more).- Alexander Rojas again - In the end, he wanted to support us in doing what was in our best interests -- to me, that's a sign of trustworthinessThe not-so-good:- During the period when we were still deciding, we received a lot of calls from Nesto and while I understand they are dealing with time-sensitive stuff and some clients probably want/need this, it was for me sometimes annoying during a really busy time.- The other agents who got involved during our rep's vacation didn't seem to be keeping track of information in a way all of them could access, so I got more calls than I wanted and the person calling wasn't always up to speed about the previous discussion.- One of the people I talked to (a different Alex) was more high pressure sale-sy and I didn't really appreciate it. I did a ton of research but if I was less confident, i might have felt shaken by this level of pushiness.

Our recent experience with Nesto has been amazing. Everyone on the team has been professional and knowledgeable, taking time to follow up and provide flawless customer service. Their portal is intuitive and easy to determine where we are at in the process. By far the easiest and best experience we have ever had. Keep up the great work!
