2nd UPDATE: uhmmm... downgraded to a 4 today.We've been there 3 times.1st time was out of this world perfect.2nd time there was a young lady taking and making the order, and she got the order a little wrong, in that I asked specifically for pickle to be removed, and for turnip to be added, and what I got was pickle in there, without any turnip whatsoever. Ok ok, mistakes happen.We went again today, and this time, oh boy, she made a mistake with the order again, but it wasn't a little mistake this time: yeah the turnip was in there, but there was no tomato, no lettuce, just meat, turnip, and sauce.We'll give it a go one more time, but honestly... what.the.heck?Please play close attention to what your customers order, thank you.UPDATE: yeah, this is the place to go to for Shawerma in Saugeen Shores. Based on other reviews saying Osmow's is better, we decided to check it out to compare.Listen to me: there is no comparison.Osmow's tastes like a corporate version of a shawerma - bland, boring, blah, whereas Shawerma Plus is actually DELICIOUS with a full mouth-feel. LOVE IT. Had the beef shawarma plate, they didn’t put dressing on my salad or offer any pickles or turnip. Best shawarma I’ve had in years, flavor was superior to other local franchises that may or may not be open yet.Portion size was lacking for the the price, staff are still working out the kinks with the new business, but I’ll give it another try when they’re settled in.Would recommend.

Shawerma Plus Port Elgin
I've been twice now and not overly impressed. Both times the place seemed slightly disorganized. Had a chicken shawerma platter the first time and the fries were cold and soggy. Got a wrap the second time and it was just OK. Their garlic sauce is delicious and flavorful; must be homemade. Not bad, just not great for the money in both quality and quantity. Hope they figure it out and do well but I'd rather have Osmows at this point.

Very slow service, 30min plus standing in line with just 5 or 6 orders ahead of me, bad English, bad customer service, overly salty chicken taste, cooked by people who likely never ate chicken. Closes like 2 hours early, advertised time until 10pm, at 8pm chicken is gone, happened twice, I guess a forced show of how good the food is, which it is not. This is how a good chain dies, trashes my good memories of Waterloo Shawerma Plus. A very sad experience.

Flavours are good but the amount of garlic mayo on my wrap was nauseating. My SO got some nasty brown lettuce in her wrap. Attention to detail needs to be a bit better here as there was no rush as no one else was in the store.Fries were not crispy, Im not sure if that's how they were intended but they just feel saugy to me.The beef was better than osmows though that's for sure. Portion size is a bit better.Menus inside were pretty hard to read, bad layout.

Wow! Delicious! I got chicken shawerma wrap! I am completely satisfied with the food! Staff is really friendly. Place is really convenient just beside the esso gas station! I would highly recommend people to get this and take a bite, enjoy the shawarma!

Taste is very good!But serving size is very small, even the serving box seemed quite empty. If I pay $17 for chicken shawarma plate my expectation would be that it at least fills my appetite. With good taste they will have to improve on the serving size.

Best chicken shawarma I have ever had. Incredible taste and quality. Tasted like it was made in someone’s kitchen. True spices and marinated meat and vegetables. Remind me of the ones we used to get in Ottawa when I was in university. Be patient! Good food takes time. It’s worth it, believe me! Service is very friendly.Way better than osmow’s (I tried both).
