We've been using barkside since we got out new puppy, which has grown into 2 puppies. The staff has always been extremely helpful, happy, and knowledgeable. We've spent way too much money on so called indestructible" dog toys

Fabulous service here..after so many failed attempts at other stores these ladies worked hard to find the perfect harness for out little dog...and the puppy spa out front us amazing. We would drive the 3 hours from home just to shop here

My dog basically drags me down the street to get to Barkside. Her absolute favourite spot in Fernie. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, especially Persephone, or maybe it was Steph; she loves to spoil my pups and I whenever we visit. A great team, incredible selection and incredibly clean store.

Great little pet shop. Were looking for a Frisbee or ball that would float on the snow and they had the perfect frizbee. Got all sorts of food, accessories, a dog wash (temporarily closed sadly) and pretty much anything else you need.

Nice store with some interesting items, but the staff was unhelpful and uninterested in explaining the products, almost to the point of being rude. It seemed the two women were more interested in their conversation than the customers. 6/15/22.

After realizing that barkside was no longer selling the food I’ve been feeding my dog for the last 6 years, the staff was more than happy to help me decide on a new food. They were knowledgeable and patient with me, walking me through ingredient lists and weighed pros and cons without making me feel rushed. I chose a new brand and was about to head up front but unfortunately the bag had a nick in it and exploded. I was so embarrassed and felt terrible for the mess but the staff were amazing, kind and so gracious towards me! 10/10 service, and as long as I’m living in the valley I will continue to shop for all of my pets needs at barkside.
