The Quarters

Very poorly built apartments with seemingly no sound proofing. I unfortunately found myself living below a very loud tenant and have spent the last 10 months dealing with thunderous stomping until the early hours of the morning. The sound is so loud my light fixtures often shake.At this point I'm paying rent just to spend 95% of my time living and sleeping elsewhere because I can't get through a single night here without being startled awake.Despite sending multiple emails, management has not done anything to resolve the noise concerns. I definitely would not recommend living here if you are sensitive to loud/constant sounds.

I recently moved to a Minto Building and had to change to a different unit for my dog. I am really impressed dealing with Minto and especially Yvonne, seriously have gone above and beyond. My unit is fantastic and a great neighborhood. Thank you so much!

I lived in The Quarters for 2 years, and undoubtedly, it was the best building I've lived in Calgary regarding maintenance and service.Especially the technician, Angelo, who has a service that is definitely above average. I would like to thank you immensely for the services rendered.

Lived here for two years in two different units. Units are nice, pet friendly, area is quiet, nice access to a walking trail along the river, fairly centrally-located within Calgary. I damaged the wall moving out (oops) and they were very reasonable with the damage deposit.Staff are great - for example, I just accidentally mailed an Amazon package to my old unit and they helped me out no problem.

I have rented with Minto at the Quarters for 3 years now. The location is amazing, the community is safe, and the building is up to code, and there are multiple layouts to choose from. I began my stay at a one bedroom and once I recognized it was not enough space, Minto promptly responded to my request to move apartments and made the transition smooth and enjoyable. Both dwellings were/are clean and well maintained, if there ever is an issue, the email is responded to same day and it is fixed within a week with no hassle.Minto has also been exceptionally understanding during the financial strain of Covid 19 and has worked with me to create a plan that keeps me financially afloat. It is obvious that even though it is a big company, they have their tenants’ best interests at heart. This kindness was also evident when a complaint was made against me, we worked together to figure out the problem and create a solution that worked for everyone.Overall, The Quarters are an amazing place to live, and Minto is an exceptional company to rent from. I have and will continue to recommend these apartments to friends and family.Thank you

I am seriously amazed and blown away by the quality of appliances and durability of cabinets and drawers! I did research on this location as far as crime is concerned and it has a A" rating! In addition it said "safety to walk at night 100%!" I am so pleased with the scenery I have when doing dishes! Who would have thought doing dishes would be a relaxing task! The neighbors are nice and I want to say understanding. I say this because our 13 year old senior lab started to become weaker and weaker by the day when we first moved here. He got to the point where he could not stand and just couldnt even sit up to drink water. He was barking like crazy. I tried my best to calm him but some days it didnt matter what i did he just wouldn't stop barking. It took some time to get a vet to come to our home to put him down and I was so worried the neighbors would get upset and complain. But to my surprise not a single pound on the walls or ceiling. No knock at my door and no complaint notice from the office! I was so thankful for this

My spouse and I have lived here for 2 years & once Minto took over it has gone downhill. They don’t answer emails & very bad with keeping up with maintenance in the building. Location is great but Minto the company isn’t. Cold air also has been blowing out of the fresh air intake which has been making the suits and hallway freezing and Minto hasn’t answered our emails. Would not recommend.

This was our first condo and our home for 2 years. Area is really peaceful and nice. Can take a nice walk/bike ride along the river or a manmade pond. Pet friendly apartment, love seeing the dogs everywhere. YMCA is super close and convenient. Although, it was on the pricey side, I think the location is really worth it. Staff is really helpful and attended to our needs. Moving in and moving out was a smooth experience.

Moved into the Quarters in April to my first condo and although the process was simple and my dog was accepted the details are not! It is definitely not sound proof so be prepared to hear your upstairs neighbors and several howling dogs. Emails and calling go unanswered when you send an inquiry (I asked about a second parking stall months ago and about having blinds installed) Street parking is always full so plan on walking if you are not home early! With no air flow and a heat wave it's unbearable to manage keeping your unit cool let alone thinking of running your dishwasher or doing laundry. With a rental shortage and a pet owner you really are trapped. I won't trust another management company after this experience.
