Lake Wabukayne
Awesome, hidden, quiet lake for fishing!! Truly a hidden gem of the area. Went fishing here in July, and caught all sorts of fish. Caught Pumpkinseed, Bluegill and some European Chub. Other fish here (that we didn’t catch) include common carp, rock bass, spotted bass, silver redhorse, and round goby…There are some signs that say no fishing, but those are only meant for winter seasons when the lake freezes over with a thin layer of ice. The signs can be ignored, as even police often walk by the area, and ask fishers if they’ve caught anything.

Great hiking area. NO FISHING IS ALLOWED!!! Well taken care of by Friends of Wabukayne lake. I'm definitely going to report anybody who is fishing or trying to feed the ducks or geese with bread. I walk twice a day, also cross country during winter.

Lake Wabukayne
I have lived by lake Wabukayne for over 10 years and its a beautiful quiet little lake with great paths to walk or bike and nice lookouts of the lake. The ducks swim around and the community has done a lot of work, building a man-made island, donated benches, artwork under the overpass, tree planting and gardens. Its great for all ages and I really enjoy it.
