I would like to say firstly, that I really wanted to like this place. I heard great things about it from friends, but it was not as I expected. I had my family in from out of town and wanted to take them to a nice place. While the grounds were very beautiful, I was not impressed with the service.I had reserved about 6 days in advance and requested the outdoor patio so that we could look out on the river. At first the person was very accommodating on the phone and said that we were all set! So I was excited. When I called again to change the number of people in my party (to 6 instead of 7), the woman said that she cannot guarantee the veranda...I was disappointed but I said ok. Then when I got there, she said it was full. They put us by the windows, but it was not the same experience at all. There were fingerprints all over the window and most of the scenery was blocked. They also seated us at a ridiculously large table that was made for more people, and I had to shout to talk to my parents on the other side. All this aside, the service was lacking. They forgot to bring my sister's wine orders and bread for the table that we requested. The food was not worth the price and the drinks were so so.For what it costs, it was not worth it in my opinion.

Waited about 30min to be seated, under staffed, everything was slow even waited about 20 min to pay, food quality is in line with industry standard, price is definitely high, we paid $180 for the dishes in the picture.

Had dinner for my birthday this evening and I felt compelled to at least voice my feelings about our experience.Firstly, let me say what a beautiful venue you have. The Restaurant is situated on a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence and the building is beautiful. I have to say that as a first timer, I was so excited to be there. We were greeted promptly and sat in a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence. Our server was courteous and helpful. We placed our drink order and ordered a bottle of wine. She delivered our order and poured our 1st and only glass of wine. We never saw her after we placed our dinner order. We served our own glasses of wine from the ice bucket. Unfortunately, my dinner entree arrived cold. Had to ask for cutlery for my dinner. It was Octopus $27. I notified another server/ manager. I was very disappointed, I ended up sharing my husband's dinner. We were not only disappointed with the lack of service but the lack of concern. We won't be back and won't be recommending your Restaurant to anyone we know. After paying approximately $200 for dinner I would have expected better from your establishment.Such a shame, would really have loved to recommend this Restaurant to friends and family because of the spectacular view and proximity to Gananoque.

Our family is a huge fan of Olivea and Riva. We were very excited to learn that the owners now owned another one of our favourite restaurants (mostly due to the location and atmosphere). Unfortunately, we were left very disappointed. The new menu is incredibly limited. While the food tasted very good, the variety on the plate (specifically vegetables) was truly disappointing. Additionally, my father in law had 2 full drinks spilled in his lap (we understand accidents happen) but we were not given any kind of compensation for this. We had a large party, ordered two bottles of wine as well as other beverages (on top of 9 meals and an appetizer) and felt there was room in the bill to at least take care of my father in law’s meal to make up for the inconvenience. We can only hope that a review of the menu offerings occurs and some more variety is introduced to improve the experience.

Great stop whilst sailing in the 1000 Islands. Very interesting take on a bloody caesar Nd really tasty burger and fries. The more upscale restaurant upstairs looked beautiful and worth a visit. Public dock available for tie up and small shop for ice and (expensive) food items for your boating cook ups

Went for dinner with my wife and had a phenomenal experience. The screened in veranda offers fantastic views of the St. Lawrence and service was impeccable. Cocktail menu is generous with options and our appetizers and mains were delicious. Would highly recommend if you are in the area!!

Very nice place to visit. I was there in October, so need to go back in the summer when it's fully open.

Nice atmosphere and great experience during a Saturday brunch. The restaurant is not open regularly right now, but I hope they can keep those events going. It was a brunch buffet and every item was delicious. They also have Friday dinner with a table d'hôte prix fixe. I would recommend either event for special occasions.

Do not eat here in August of 2022.We heard that nine waitstaff left on the same day. We had called ahead, but they lost the reservation. We waited forever for service at every turn. A very unsatisfactory experience.Gorgeous building, good views. Don't know why we were seated in the back with no view. We were dressed nicely... good tables went un-used. Poor management. The food was tasty but not exceptional, and not in line with the prices. I had the curried shrimp, and I got 6 shrimp for $42 I think it was. With nothing else but one scoop of white rice?? Those who ordered the chicken said it was over-cooked, dry inside.
