This is a dishonest lawyer i was renting a unit from a landlord & from the 2nd day i live there it was nothing but problems & they had a major flood & i had to live through construction, severe allergic reaction to chemicals from the work & the landlord tried to have me evicted, she sought Melanies legal counsel & they went to the rental board to try & have me thrown out i sent an email asking the landlord to pick up her rent on a certain day & time i had a tracking device to have proof of receipt which both this lawyer & the landlord received i have the proof, meanwhile they still sent me a notice to try & evict me & never showed up to pick up the rent, the day we went to the hearing at the Rental board i handed all the money to them & even after that the assistant lawyer was asking the Regie du Logement to evict me thats when the man hearing the case knew that they were up to no good & dismissed the case its very unfortunate but i won in the end so its ok!

As a lawyer myself, I contacted Me Chaperon regarding a Rental board issue based on all the excellent reviews. She requested $325 + taxes in advance for a 1/2 hour phone call.I paid the amount and sent her some documents to review prior to our scheduled phone call.To my great disappointment, Me Chaperon was not well prepared for the phone meeting. None of my questions were answered. I subsequently sent a follow up message to her requesting guidance, she never responded.Based on the reviews, I’m quite shocked that I received such poor service.Regrettably, she was far more interested in receiving my payment prior to our meeting than our meeting itself.I’ve never heard from Me Chaperon since our call a couple of weeks ago, no follow up whatsoever.When I practised law, I ALWAYS followed up with my clients, especially new ones. Very, very disappointed.
