Scholtens Inc - Cottage Country Candies

I really like the candies, chocolates, and salty snacks this company produces. They're usually fresh. Sometimes the stores that resell the treats don't rotate stock as much as they should which can lead to some stale bags. However, I weirdly like stale gummies (extra chew!). I don't like that the Scholtens Inc slogan of sorts is In God We Trust". I don't think that religion should be mixed with business

Came from Orangeville before 3pm to find it closed and locked, even though the sandwich board was still outside and clearly listed 'open until 4pm'.Not even a note on the door.It'll be a looong time before I go out of my way to look at this place again, if ever.

I went to Burlington yesterday, I googled places to visit and we ended up here.This place is definitely worth going to. Lots of candy!!! Prices are actually outlet prices!! I had to talk myself out of buying more candy. We will definitely go back!!I love gummies so I bought gummies only. They were fresh! The flavours were so yummy!!!

Affordable local candy and snack outlet! Such a fun place to drop by to prepare for a trip, event, or treat packages. Everyone is happy when you bring sweet and savoury snacks.The prices are consistently better than other stores, especially for the amount and the quality. The taste and texture is better than other bin stores. The mixed gummies are a group favourite! Great fillers for party favours.

I left 2 stars because this review reflects my personal opnion, and that there are many other candies that i do not have the pallet for that im sure others would like.However.I've been buying cottage country products for as long as I can remember up until now.They had some of the best tasting and freshest product you could buy, now they decided to change ingredients in several of their products. Which unfortunately Includs their ju jubes..For clarification their ju jubes were the best ones you could get anywhere, they were always consistent in texture and flavor, their flavor being very similar to the fruits the were meant to represent.Now? Now they've changed to foul, oily tasting flavors" that are nowhere near as enjoyable as the previous versions let aone far off from what they "should" taste like.. And the consistency has gone from an enjoyable squishy texture to a mix of greasy

Great place to go if you or your grandkids have a sweet tooth. Walking into this quaint confectionery with your young kids would be absolutely mind blowing I’m sure. (For the kids I mean) Actually I was myself when I first walked inside. We definitely will bring our grand kids here when they come to visit in July.

Love that it's a Canadian Company run by hard working people, to deliver a decent. I also love their ideals

Non existent return policy. Refused a return, refund or exchange on a box of untouched candy bought two days prior.

Really cute bulk and packaged candy store. The selection is very large and the candy was fresh and tasted great. The employee was super friendly and helpful. Pricing was good and I walked out with way more than I was initially looking for. You can actually mix and match from the bulk selections and buy samples of anything you like. Excellent little store, it doesn't look like much from the outside, but really well organized and clean on the inside!
