Thunder Bay Lookout
Amazing views on a platform 100's of feet over the cliffs of the sleeping giant park. Drive can be challenging depending on your vehicle, good ground clearance is a must for ruts and rocks sticking out of the ground. If you're in the area the views are well worth the drive.

What a great view!!! The road up, in sections is very BUMPY / POT HOLE ridden ride. But worth it!! A local suggested that you run down the ramp and out to the look out, works best if no one is out on the lookout. A cheap Rollercoaster ride type of thrill (Full disclosure, I slowed down to a jog for the last 3 steps / strides.) Not for the faint of heart. I won't be the only person to say this, but what an AMAZING / VIEW!!!!!

Thunder Bay Lookout
Such a beautiful lookout of Thunder Bay from Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. The drive to reach the lookout is about 9 kilometers each way on uneven terrain including dirt and puddles (if it has rained) - your car will get dusty or muddy! We drove in an SUV but cars can easily manage the drive as well. The view is worth it.

Gravel, rocky road. Takes a while to get there even though its only 9km. Look out is right at the parking lot. Worth the drive as spectacular views. A bit like the Ouimet Canyon but smaller. Cool experience.

Super fun! Road will take some time but my van got here no problem. Beautiful look out! At the end of the road, you get to drive on granite on top of the mountain which was a really cool experience. There are bathrooms here and the trails that connect other look outs. Road is bumpy and steep in some spots but worth it!!

Thunderbay Lookout offers a captivating experience, although the drive can be challenging due to the sandy road. Unsurpassed view of Lake Superior and shoreline looking west from an overhang platform. 9 km ride up best done in 4 wheel, all wheel high body vehicle but have seen vans and smaller vehicles at the top. Stunning autumn drive colors. Two small lakes accessible just off the road. Not sure about winter access.

Super cool experience to be so high off the ground, kinda scary but you can definitely hang onto that side railing for dear life. Here are some shots I took with my phone, it's breathtaking and a must see!

9 k drive from main road. Smooth except last 1 k or so. Great cantilevered platform 100 meters above Superior. Great views

Amazing experience. Be careful with lower cars. The drive up is definitely doable, but please be careful. Long off road trail to the top, but worth every rock, bump, and ditch. What a breathtaking view.
