Teriyaki Experience

One of the worst experiences I've had at a Teriyaki Experience.. and it's my go-to place for lunch when I'm at the mall shopping (first time at Pen Center). From ordering (very moody young lady, who only seemed interested in accepting my payment and getting to the next paying customer) to having to say 3 times I wanted extra T Sauce on my rice and basically having to beg for hot sauce... and don't you dare ask for onion nor mushrooms (which at other locations is INCLUDED).. yup, wanted to up-charge me on both counts.I realize COVID means things have changed, but where's the shredded cabbage, carrots and bean sprouts etc that came with the combo? I also understand that COG did go up, but upcharge for things which normally came with a combo?The food was bland, even with their interpretation of extra sauce. No trace of the hot sauce I begged for and and to be honest, the chicken was as dry as the amazon cardboard boxes in my recycle bin (no I don't eat cardboard).I'm a huge fan of Teriyaki and used to be a regular customer of TE.. that is no longer the case on the latter.

Wow, I haven't been here since before covid. Prices up, while size down. The chicken pieces were sliced so thin I could see daylight through them, no joke. 3.00 for a bottle of water, ughh. And to top it off, it had zero flavor. Sad really, it was my goto place for something to eat after shopping.

the WORST experience I’ve ever had with food service in my life- and this is from someone who works in food service and deals with customers all day. I ordered an order of rice with teriyaki sauce and they gave me a tiny bowl half full with no sauce. when i said this was not what i wanted (before they had actually made it so nothing was wasted) they told me it would be extra for a higher serving. this makes sense so it’s no problem. however, they wouldn’t refund me for what i payed for (and they didn’t give me) so then when i gave up and then just said i’d order the rice with teriyaki sauce again, they refused to give me sauce. they charged me for it twice, and then said it would be $1 extra for sauce in a tiny ketchup sized cup like from mcdonald’s. so i just said fine i just gave them another dollar but then he picked up the sauce off the counter and refused to give it to me until i “handed” the money to the cashier even though the money was on the counter and slid towards her.Will NOT be returning here ever again i’ve never been treated so badly as a customer and disrespected just as a person for no reason. absolutely shameful i don’t understand how theyr still in buisness.

FREAKING delicious food! I come here once a week or so, and the food is always HOT, fresh and savory! Not sure what they put in their array of sauces but it is to die for...! I order the Signature Beef Teriyaki with Noodles and it's amazing, the Chicken is also really good as well! One of my favourite take out places in the area!

Tried for the first time. We ordered veggie bowl with organic tofu with noodles base. I liked the veggies quite healthy but tofu isn’t in my list. Overall $19 for a bowl well spent.

I work in the mall and wanted to try this place for a change, mainly because I saw that they had soup on their menu. I ordered and waited for my food and while I was waiting I saw that my receipt said something else on the menu, not soup. So I went to the girl just to clarify and she with the other male there said we are out of soup.The man who seemed like the manager was really agressive in his tone towards me like I purposely didn’t ask for soup.Like I said I work in the mall and waisted half my break at this place only to get blamed that I wasn’t clear?Fair enough it was obviously mis communication and it’s super loud in the cafeteria, but I work in customer service too and I would never act like that towards a customer even if they were in the wrong.I’m sorry I’m leaving a bad review but this really was a 1 star experience.Ps they didn’t refund the tip I gave them lol

The absolute worst customer experience I've ever had. They have no interest in eye contact with you or to even make an attempt to be cordial. Prices are higher than the competition in the food court. Not good.

The most delicious teriyaki I have ever try. Definitely will try again. Nice service, and perfect taste.

Used to be my favourite food place in the mall, but the staff have become rude and the service is so bad that I won’t ever go back. Plus be careful because they started adding $1.75 for extra vegetables and $1.00 for extra sauce on every rice bowl when I never asked for extra anything. So if you’re not paying attention to your bill, they sneak in that $2.75 surcharge even though you didn’t ask for extra veg or sauce. I don’t recommend this place anymore.

It’s good but huge rip off. Give smaller portions now and raised prices enormously. 17.00+ for a container not even full.
