Alan the owner is super helpful. Great place to get live minnows and worms. Don't underestimate the collection of lures and baits this little shop can carry. Huge collection of Gary Yamamoto soft baits, and in fact all kinds of baits, rods, reels and fishing lines. Great prices too.

Owner tries to rip you off. Terrible service. Never go there. Be sure to count your bait if you buy any. Asked for 24 large leeches and was given 19 medium and small. I asked him to count again. He told me to leave . At 1 Dollar a leech I want what I I'm paying for.

Best in Markham, I come here for live baits mostly worms and minnows. Store owner helped me customize a Dawa rod and reel, installed line and setup hook after recommending based on what I wanted to fish, also showed me how to hook a weedless Texas rig for bass. Very friendly and knowledgeable, he is a fish enthusiast himself and when he helps someone you can feel that makes him happy too, I would recommend him for your fishing gear and live baits.(Always have healthy minnows that's given to you with oxygen, buy a portable oxygen pump and good for the day)

They always come here to get bait and worms for fishing. The price is good the owner is friendly the location is good the office hour is convenient too

This business obviously doesn't care about the repeat business. You may get scammed no matter what, as if they have only one shot at you to take your money. I suggest to be careful and don't fall for the old tricks, watch every step, whenever you are exchanging something with them (owner or son), check twice what you are receiving back, it may not be what you expect or what you might have seen or tried just seconds before.I went for the ice fishing floating suit (jacket and bibs), spent $900 +. I tried Medium size and the younger guy (I think son of the owner) while packing the suit and discussing something in a foreign language with a very animated older guy (his dad I think), replaced jacket size M which I just tried with size L and placed it in a bag with Medium tag on it.By the time I realized I was scammed, which was after I already went fishing (that when I realized that jacket seemed to be large and checked the tag) it was too late to return it or replace it or even go back and argue about what happened. If they did what they did, they would never admit to their doing.I suggest to avoid at all costs. You don't want to be shopping and watching over your shoulder, however if you go there, watch yourself and good luck!Cheers

Great shop, Has a lot of speciality baits you cant get locally. I come here for my ice fishing gear. Prices are average / above average. Also have a good selection of shiners.

Nearby shop that has no good fishing place around. Decent selection but prices are a little steep. Would be nice if price is more competitive.I only come and pickup worms if I'm heading out to fish early.
