We just finished a main floor/kitchen renovation with Heartwood Renovations. The renovation included flooring, trim, lighting, cabinetry, countertops etc. From the beginning it was clear that Joal and Nick wanted to find a way to make our renovation dream a reality. Throughout the entire process the communication was very good. Nick and Joal were always available for questions via phone or text. The workmanship was exceptional, everything from the carpentry, plumbing, cabinetry, electrical etc.There were no issues with the agreed upon budget or timelines. In fact, I would say Nick and Joal went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with the end result. I would recommend Heartwood Renovations to any of my family and friends. The photos we shared on social media have recieved amazing reviews.Nick, Joal and the entire team are great people. I read many reviews online before giving these guys a call. I called Heartwood for a custom kitchen quote. A family member had used them for their beautiful new kitchen.The entire process from start to finish involved meeting some amazingly friendly team members including Taylor, Kevin and Joal the 'head honcho' of Heartwood. They visited my home for the quote and they were professional, knowledgeable and full of ideas for my new kitchen. After this I met with them in their wonderful showroom full of stunning kitchen settings and accessories. They presented me with several new kitchen designs that were all lovely and they were happy and open to hearing my feedback. The entire team made me feel comfortable, heard and appreciated! A great group of friendly people work at Heartwood!

I hired heartwood to remodel my kitchen. Upon meeting Shelli and the rest of the team I knew that I would be good hands. They brought my vision to life. Hiring quality contractors isnt always easy in this day and age but Heartwood renovations went and beyond all expectations. I love my kitchen. If you want a quality kitchen then these are the guys to get it done!

We chose the Heartwood Renovations team after receiving several quotes for our job from different contractors and cannot say enough about the amazing experience we had with the whole team from the beginning right to the end (and since then beyond!). We worked with their design team on a total inside renovation of my grandmothers house (a bungalow so we did the whole house!) in order to accommodate our family (of 5 giants and 2 dogs) and have my aging parents live with us. From the first minute with Heartwood we felt like they became part of our family and understood our 'vision' and what our goals were. The final product is more incredible than we could have ever imagined and we love our new space that was created by our Heartwood family. Leadership starts at the top and you feel it with this company starting with Joal as one of the owners - he saw our vision and was so compassionate and patient navigating us through. We had Alicia as our Project Manager who killed it every single day - she communicated with us going above and beyond and held our hands through the whole process, Taylor with her expertise and keeping us in line with our choices for all of the beautiful details, Shelley on the kitchen side who designed an unbelievably functional and fun kitchen and Andrew putting it all together and working his magic!! There were so many other people along the way from Heartwood who were all so skilled, so professional and so kind, always making us laugh and guiding us through every detail. Our life feels complete in our beautiful 'rejuvenated' generational home and we can't thank the Heartwood team enough for making this a reality for us. Big love to the whole team forever. ❤️p.s. Have you ever heard of a renovation being completed on time? ours was. They told us 6 months and it was. It was even a week early!!

We were referred to Heartwood by a friend from another reno company oddly enough. They knew that the scope of work would be best served by a one stop shop like heartwood who can do kitchens and everything else. We did 3 full bathrooms, laundry room, kitchen and basement flooring. Our project lasted 5 months in total once all the small things were finished. Upon meeting Joal and Taylor, we appreciated their professionalism and Taylor’s wonderful design ideas. They are a very sought after business with lots of projects to quote and their quotes are very detailed so be prepared to wait 2-3 weeks. Their pricing was reasonable, was within our budget and their showroom really blew us away. It was nice to be able to see the kitchen materials and 3D rendering. Once the project started, Nick took over and had everything lined up for our desired start date. There were a few surprises once demo started but that’s to be expected. Nick wanted to make sure things were done right and would last. The only thing that would be nice to have as a client would be a checklist of items we have to buy ourselves. We were surprised by a few items that we had to scramble to buy last minute which was stressful. We did one issue relating to plumbing. In our kitchen island sink, a simple fitting was not glued and we had a leak coming down into our basement as a result. The plumbers did fix it right away but this was a nuisance as the ceiling had to be cut open, re-drywalled, taped and painted. Nick took care of a number of things for us which did not go unnoticed. Heartwood is here for long term relationships with their clients, not one and done transactions. We plan on doing a few more things with Heartwood. Taylor in particular deserves a mega shout out. This girl is outstanding at what she does and one of heartwood's biggest assets. Design and selections are a difficult process but she made it easy and brought our spaces to life. The heartwood workers (Dave, Jordan, Matt, Liam, sorry if I’m forgetting anyone) are kind, professional and take care of whatever needs you have with a smile. Even coming back to fix the smallest things like a towel holder, they did it with a smile. These guys are coming into your home and are very respectful. The sub trades that heartwood uses are also well vetted. Nardi in particular are top notch electricians and very professional. They clean up after themselves which is rare in the industry. Joal, Nick, Isaac, Taylor and Marina - thank you so much for taking all our calls and really caring about our home like it was yours. The culture Joal and Nick have instilled in their team is that of caring for the client and professionalism. We are a high maintenance client with endless questions and they didn’t once show any sign of being frustrated with us. They know Renos like ours are challenging and stressful for the homeowner. Joal and Nick would always get back to us even late at night or weekends. If you go with heartwood, you will be well taken care of and get a great end result. However with a company like this that is in very high demand, you’ll have to just be patient as they have lots of projects on the go and getting sub trades to come do things can be challenging at times. However good things come to those who wait though. Finally the 5 year warranty is outstanding and rare in the industry. They stand behind their work and that’s the biggest thing.

Just wanted to thank the whole Heartwood Team for the wonderful job they did on my Reno. From Day 1, I was impressed with their hard work and dedication.Words cannot express how elated I am on the amazing transformation of the first floor of my house. In my wildest dreams, I could not picture the end result. I now love my home again. I definitely made the right choice on choosing Heartwood and take every opportunity to tell family and friends on what a wonderful Company they are.From the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you!

A family member recommended Heartwood to us and after looking at a number of local renovation companies, we are so glad that we listened! From start to finish, they were excellent to work with and we are beyond pleased with our new kitchen/dining room and upstairs bathroom. I say new home, it is a 175 year old farmhouse that required a complete gutting and modernization so it was no small feat! From the very beginning, Joal and team understood that this was no ordinary house and that we had our own vision for the end product. There were many 'quirks' that had to be taken into consideration and incorporated into the design, but Heartwood were with us throughout the whole process to recommend solutions and ensure the history and feel of the property were always at the forefront.What I was really impressed with was the professionalism and attitude of all their staff. Everyone was passionate about their work and wanted to deliver the best for us. Shelli was fantastic to work with throughout the kitchen design and was instrumental in guiding us towards the look we wanted. Matt and Ollie were great lads, extremely diligent in any job they were working on, always worked with a smile on their face, and always had time to speak to us and our kids whenever they were in the house whilst renovations were ongoing. Emily was great to work with on the bathroom redesign, and really helped us get the most out of a quite small and awkwardly shaped space. It’s s now a beautiful area that we love to use. And our PM, Isaac, was always there to answer questions, provide updates, and also put up with us during the stressful times over the winter months when we were eager to move back in. No home renovation is without its stresses and hiccups, but he always kept a cool head and ensured we knew of any potential delays.Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend Heartwood to friends and family. They are a small business who take pride in both the quality of their work and their attention to the customer. They understand the magnitude of the investment you are making and strive to ensure that your vision comes to life. We couldn't be happier with our new space and are looking forward to working with them on the second phase!

My wife and I have work with Heartwood Renovation for several projects over the past 5 years.• A complete gut of a bungalow – rental property - turned legal duplex (2018)• Master bath, Main Bath and Laundry Room in our primary residence (2019)• Main Floor – Kitchen/Living Room/ Powder Room in our primary residence (2022)First and foremost, we’d had excellent experience all three times, which is obviously a huge reason for our continued business. This is a company you can trust, they have excellent trades, they deal with all the permitting needs, inspections etc., they have design staff if you need it, and they have an entire Kitchen division complete with a gorgeous showroom in Ancaster, which I encourage anyone to go check out!Throughout the process, any questions or concerns we had been swiftly sorted out and the back and forth open communication allowed for us to ensure the end product was exactly to our wishes. I had my kitchen renovated from drywall to flooring, paint and cabinets. From the initial meeting to the conclusion of my project I knew I chose the right company. Every person I had the pleasure of meeting from Heartwood was friendly, professional and very accommodating. I love my new kitchen and and I have Heartwood to thank for that. They were always there to answer questions, deal with any concerns and follow up on a timely basis. I will always reach out to them in the future should I want to do any more work.
