Unfortunately every time I come to this place, there's always an issue. Today I attended my appointment and they made it sound like I messed up and came on the wrong day. After showing emails, and my husband and I repeating that we drove far to come here, they still did not want to want to help us. They pretty much said we can't help and there is no time, but after some back and forth they said that the 2 hour appointment would now take all day. They claimed that they mixed up the days between Friday and Saturday. After figuring it out, they said they'd give us a courtesy car. So we planned to come later in the day, however 40 minutes later they say the car is ready. I felt like they were unaccomdating, and we had to fight to get our appointment even though it was so quick. I didn't get the girls name at the front desk, but I felt bad for her as she was so nice and tried to help.

Edit: Things have changed drastically in the past year.TL;DR: Questionable business practices. Evidence of price gouging as indicated on receipt. Poor service?I took my vehicle in for service on Feb 21st. Immediately upon entering I noticed signs posted in their service area proudly boasting that they now charge more for oil changes than the quick lube places and noted that this was competitive. I assume they did not take into account that historically people have paid more to quick lube places for the convenience of completing an oil change in 15 or so minutes rather than having your vehicle confined to the dealership for hours to complete a relatively quick job.Historically Valley Toyota would charge approximately $30 or so less than the quick lube places which is a justifiable with the understanding the service would take longer. Now you are paying more than the quick lube places for significantly slower service.I also had my transmission fluid changed during this appointment, and this is where I took exception to Valley Toyota's business practices. The cost for this service was now nearly 100% more expensive than when I had it previously done around covid. Did I expect the price to remain the same? No, not necessarily, but a near 100 % increase in my opinion is price gouging. My opinion was evidenced by the receipt provided to me by Valley Toyota. Under labour charge they had listed the cost at $182.xx for .5 hours of labour. Their posted labour rate is $149.xx per hour. The labour rate was not inclusive of shop fees and ancillary fees, more on that later. When I brought this up with the service manager, they stated this was a flat fee, and when the material costs have been accounted for, the excess gets poured into the labour rate, and again stated that it was a fixed cost. This does not make much sense to me as most services provided are fixed costs that are automatically generated by their system when you request a particular service. For example, they quote you for brakes during service, the quoted price is the price that you would pay regardless of actual time to complete the job. This at least this has been my experience with Valley Toyota. So this being the case, why is their actual labour rate you pay so far off of their posted labour rate as indicated on their receipt? Again, when I asked the manager they placed blame on the system, and acknowledged that it looked bad.Ok, so we have an apparent price gouge as evidenced by the receipt. Now we have shop supplies and ancillary fees. Historically these have all been acceptable and I wouldn't have even questioned them up until now, but how are the shop fees accounted for? All parts including gaskets and enviro fees are charged separately (more on that in a minute), and its all broken down on the receipt, so what are they charging $22 in shop supplies for? What shop supplies are being utilized to come to that figure if everything else is billed separately? Finally, they billed for the plug gasket. Again, I understand. The only alarming thing about this is that they left a gasket on my passenger seat. This was a new gasket. So did they reinstall the old gasket and charge me for a new one? Or did they forget to install the gasket, leaving it on my passenger seat? I suppose I will have my answer if I develop a leak.I have been coming here for years, servicing even non Toyota vehicles here. I am really saddened by the downturn in business practices and apparent ethics. I know Valley Toyota will be a great place again at some point, but i wont be returning for the foreseeable future.‐-------------------Original review posted approximately 6 years ago.Very friendly and honest. I've been taking my vehicles here for years and have never had a negative experience.

The only reason to come here was because they charge less for lube service than quick lube shops. Now they proudly charge more. After 8 years of coming here for oil changes because it was more cost effective, this was my last time.Whoever is in charge of the service department, shame on you. The cost of oil and labour has not doubled in one year, there is no justification for your prices. Have you doubled the salary of your techs? Doubt it. More profits into the pockets of owners as usual. Disgusting business practise.
