Eternal Fountain Recreation Site

After a long drive on gravel roads you get to the Eternal fountain. It’s worth the trip to see thenKarst formations and cenote formations.It’s really a surprise to realize there’s this massive river under the forest, and the eternal fountain gives some spectacular glimpses of it!You will be ever so surprised to see a fountain not flowing away but just disappearing again in the ground!The interpretative information boards were great! There is a little loop that goes past two or three of the cenotes.Some tips to help your planning:- it’s all gravel road and if you have a normal sedan car you can make it, but travel is slow - 25-35km/h to avoid pot holes, rough areas etc. A truck would be faster- cell reception is very spotty and you shouldn’t rely on it.- give yourself plenty of time- bring bug repellent in summer !

Easy to get to it, not a long hike at all. Quite cool to see this.

Great stop on the Alice Loop quick easy hike stop

Beautiful place and you have to follow logging roads for 10 km one way and the roads are in good shape for logging roads just drive slow unless you have a truck and just watch for potholes
