Save-On-Foods

Well they still have food! Lol. Some people have gone a little overboard on somethings as of March 16/2020 they are out of Toilet paper and a few other things!

Well that was disappointing. First time going through self checkout in Tsawwassen and things didn’t go well.I scanned my 2 items, payed by debit then put my reusable bag on the right side to load my items. Machine said remove unscanned items. Attendant walked over. I said “It’s the bag, how am I supposed to put my groceries in without putting it on the counter?”He reached for my bag and said “it’s saying u haven’t scanned all your items”. He started to open the bag and asked if I had the receipt. I held the bag closed. He asked if I had my receipt again . I reluctantly showed him. I also showed him inside the bag. I said, “you still haven’t answered my question”He reluctantly showed me how it works at Save on Foods.Stupid system to me, but if they insist on it they should have signs to explain things so people don’t get treated like criminals, and the staff should explain it without having to ask twice.

It's a save on lol, I guess it's a bit more organized than other ones I've gone to but really nothing special

Produce could be better at times. Also now 4 times I've gone to the pickup window during my time and no one would answer. I would then have to go inside and wait some more.

I love the Tsawwassen location of Save on Foods. Everything is always organized and clean. One of my favourite parts of shopping here is that they price match with local grocers. Jason in produce is especially helpful and very knowledgeable. And there are always enough people working to get the help you need, even if it means checking in the back for an item.

Not my favorite grocery store but I have to admit that I got some good deals on their sales.

Save-On has always been a good grocery store to shop at. They carry virtually all the staples and more that a family needs.This includes an in store bakery, deli section, wine, Starbucks, and a kitchen for quick dinners,(rotisserie chicken, salads, meat pies, etc). They also deliver groceries which we used during the pandemic.The bonus that has just recently been added, are self checkouts, no need to stand in long lines for a cashier. This is a game changer and is why I shopped where there were self checkouts. Solid grocery store.

I adore this Save-On-Foods. The first time I saw the wine section I was blown away! Not only that, the “made in BC” local section is fantastic. The staff are great. One cashier in particular, Gemma, always remembers my name and greets me like a friend. I’m happy to give this place literally $1000 a month in essential groceries!

I visited the bakery to place an order for a cake and the old lady who works there was so rude and said that I should call if I want to get my questions answered and place the order.When I called a couple of days later it was her on the phone as well and again, she was just SO RUDE!Don’t bother getting your custom cake made here, just go to thrifty - way better service!

I went in to get my Christmas dinner ingredients and was horrified by the amount of expired products on the shelves. Mushrooms were covered in mold. All the milk and dairy expired that day. If that wasn’t bad enough, There were no cashiers on the floor, the lineups wrapped around inside the store, blocking lanes. Customer service “Patty” was rude and disrespectful when I asked about the produce. The prices are more than double what I pay at Walmart. I swiftly went to Thrifty Foods and will never shop this location ever again.
