Great studio space, both me and my client loved the decor and versatility of the entire space. Large window that illuminates the sofa, as well as two large mirrors, a fireplace, and a kitchen. An hour was definitely not enough time!

This is a great place with lots of lighting to work with. They have cute props for a very homelike atmosphere. There’s also a ring light for my fellow makeup artists.

I booked this studio for my maternity photo shoot but unfortunately I was unable to go to my appointment as I went into labour 5 weeks prior to my due date. The day of my booking at the studio I ended up in the hospital and gave birth to my baby. My husband and I reached out to the studio in the morning to let them know I was in labour and heading to the hospital. I asked if I was able to receive a credit to use later but they refused and let me know I was outside of their 24 hr cancellation policy. Very poor customer service given my unique and unpredicted circumstance.

I am an editorial and commercial photographer who travel quite a bit for work. I try to do shoots in every city that I go. SOL is definitely one of the prettiest studio with natural light that I have been. They are very responsive and communication is so easy. Would book their studio again when I have a need for it.

I had texted the studio owner listed in the booking email (514-548 ****) to explain an unfortunate situation where I had to cancel my booking on Sunday morning May 22nd (10am-12pm) in Montreal due to complicated circumstances beyond my control. The model I had hired had to cancel due to impacts of the terrible storm that took place over the weekend, resulting in a fallen tree in her driveway and complete loss of power.I can appreciate the studios' terms, but given such unusual circumstances, I was really expecting more understanding in the form of a partial or full ($230 CAD) refund or assistance to pursue a new booking with some sort of studio credit. (30/60 days to re-book, as an example)Needless to say, I felt quite mistreated based on the responses I have received to date and I am not in a position to leave a favourable review of Sol Atelier Montreal's studio. Other Ottawa-based Photographers' that I've mentioned this situation to were really not impressed and encouraged me to leave a negative review to complain of the business and to warn others before booking.To put in writing to me that they don't make any exceptions up to and including storms, severe illness and even death is utterly ridiculous and demonstrates a real lack of character.Quote in their response email on 05/25/2022 is listed below:''We don't make special acceptions, and we don't owe it to you to explain the nature of our business nor our business policies, they are there to protect the business... For a days notice cancellation, there simply isn't a refund or credit no matter the circumstances (covid, death, illness, birth, storm, etc)...''
