World class Gothic. Construction is present but there are numerous opportunities to view the Buildings and surrounding monuments.

No tours are allowed as of our visit. It is only a govt office bldg

I visited the East Block on the Parliament Hill many times over the years. Every time I go there, I am impressed by the historical significance of the buildings. The area is under heavy construction now, for it will not be accessible for many more years, unfortunately.

Visited this place during a slight chilly weather of April when my wife and I were Canadian residents. Simply loved the ambience in the evening. Thin layers of ice blocks were floating on the waters of probably the Ottawa river.

Well worth the visit. Today is holds mainly Senators offices. It has several points of interest including the former offices of Sir John A. Macdonald, Sir George-Étienne Cartier, and Office of the Governor General. It also has the oldest elevator in Ottawa, where you can still see the old style elevator crank.

Not as impressive as the Centre Block, but definetely a MUST visit if you are interested in Canadian history. Tours are FREE but you have to get the tickets first at 90 Wellington Street (across from Parliament Hill).

The East Block, similar to the rest of the parliamentary buildings, are a wonderful piece of architecture. I find myself taking pictures of these buildings almost every time I am in the area. I understand they offer tours of both the West and East blocks, but I have yet to do one.
