OzPrep LSAT Tutoring
Nick is a great tutor. I was one of those who took a Princeton course before trying a private tutor. Those courses are a real money grab, my 'instructor' was just awful...she was not only bad, but often unprepared, late, haughty...I was unmotivated and demoralized after seeing my June score. When I came to Nick, he provided me with an arsenal of simple tools to get the right answer quickly. He's been tutoring for years so he knows all the intricacies of the test, unlike my Princeton girl who was completely new.If I was embarrassed at having picked the wrong answer, Nick would flip his original tattered book around and say look

OzPrep is a terrific LSAT Tutoring company helmed by Nick, who gives his students many great tips and tricks to arm themselves for the LSAT. He is friendly, encouraging and most of all, he cares about his students’ improvement while creating a comfortable tutoring environment.

Our contact with OzPrep started off well, with a follow-up phone chat discussing our needs with Nick Banerd (owner and tutor with OzPrep). After that initial call, things went rapidly downhill. Nick cancelled several sessions at the last minute, and did not return any phone calls or texts. It's an odd way to run a business, particularly when you are dealing with stressed out students trying to prepare for LSAT. The reviews posted on the cluttered website and on Google are generally positive--but read carefully and you might notice they are very similar in voice, content and endorsement. Luckily, we found another tutor in Forest Hill who is reliable, returns calls, and follows through with promises.

Nick was the absolute best. He catered the entire tutoring program to my needs by addressing my strengths and weaknesses. He conducted a thorough diagnostic analysis to see where I was coming in and was able to help me get to the score I desired. It was a true pleasure working with Nick as he was so friendly and made the material much simpler than before. I was finally able to get the score I needed and much credit goes to him. I would recommend him to anyone looking to improve on the LSAT.

Nick was an amazing LSAT tutor. Nick provided me with the strategies and knowledge to drastically improve my weaknesses and hone my strengths. I owe a great deal of success on the LSAT to him, and anyone would be lucky to have him tutor them on the LSAT.

I came to Way In Law with no prior LSAT training. Having been out of school for a while, I found the LSAT very daunting at first. Nick assuaged these fears, and helped me approach the questions calmly and critically. His unique strategies and shortcuts helped improve both my speed and my confidence in my answer choices. Nick has a super animated teaching style, has an uncanny way of bringing otherwise dense and dull material to life. I actually genuinely looked forward to our lessons -- he really tries to make the LSAT fun -- a big reason why he's so effective. It's clear that Nick loves teaching, and I found his positive attitude infectious. What's more, he cares about his students success, and will be there for you from first contact through the LSAT and application processes... until you decide on a school. I found this constant support extremely reassuring!Without a doubt, I recommend starting here first -- Nick's unique technique and approach will give you a competitive edge over that herd of applicants from the traditional LSAT classes... without putting you to sleep! After only eight weekly sessions with Nick, and on my very first sitting I scored beyond my wildest expectations. I know that was in no small part due to Nick and Way in Law, and I can't recommend this service enough. Many, many thanks!

I tried both Power Score and Harvard Ready before stumbling across this indie firm by chance. I wish I had sooner -- small is beautiful, right? It's run almost entirely by an Osgoode student -- he says he only hires when there's overflow demand. The website is full of annecdotes and useful law school info (in addition to the LSAT materials.)Nick himself is an awesome tutor. He obviously loves what he does, and it shows. Unlike the large companies, he seems to genuinely care about his students and their successes. Plus, he's madly entertaining, and invents crazy funny analogies, which made remembering everything a lot easier. My first writing was a disaster, and I promised that if I cracked the 160s in June I would leave a great review. I did, and so here it is.Highly recommended!

Nick was a great LSAT tutor! I was pretty advanced in my studying, but Nick had advice and pointers that helped a lot. He worked with my schedule, and was great for my studying motivation. With his help on the LSAT and reviewing my personal statement, I got into Dalhousie Law!! Thank you Nick!

This is long but I highly suggest you read in order to save you money and time!!!I would consider looking at other options if you’ve just started studying for the LSAT. Nick’s prices are super high and his lessons didn’t help much at all. I spent over 2k on his tutoring package… vs $200 a month on 7sage. His method is based on doing multiple practice tests rather than learning how to approach each question, scenario, etc. on the test. 7sage teaches you the opposite approach and I found that more helpful. I was also prompted to consider a different learning method after Nick was frustrated with me at our last lesson when I asked him to teach with a learning style more suited to me. I believe I asked how to approach questions with conditional logic by learning about conditional logic first…he said I should’ve given him advanced notice ahead of time and that I wasn’t doing enough homework myself. How could I have done any more homework if all I was being taught was to do practice tests? I started to feel like I got scammed. More could have been done to make better use of my sessions in my opinion!I wasn’t planning on ever writing this but I was extremely disappointed when I approached Nick for a refund on only my last few lessons I didn’t attend. Having explained how I began to take 7sage and how it actually helped to increase my score, Nick first of all, didn’t answer for many days and finally he pointed to his non refundable policy. Given how he treated me during our last session, some consideration would’ve been appreciated. Just be careful when considering Ozprep. Do your research and weigh out all other options before buying his tutoring package(s). I wish I did!!
