April 2nd, 2022 still wearing masks on board, no food. Apparently the ferry got approval to open fully the evening before so mabey things will change shortly. Takes about 30 minutes to/from hwy 401

The ramp leading on to the ferry has hinges 2-3 inches high is several places making it difficult for anyone pushing a stroller. My partner and I who were pushing bicycles were appalled at the lack of service or assistance provided by FOUR young crew men who stood within 10 feet and didn’t make any effort to assist a woman who was struggling to get over each hump. My partner lifted the front of the stroller for her, allowing her to push more easily from the rear. While this points out a lack of training and education provided to the crew, unfortunately, it says volumns about the manners that were non existent among the FOUR male crew members.

Good trip. Not sure why we are wearing masks while outdoors. I felt stifled in extremely hot weather. I don't mind wearing a mask indoor but while the sun is beaming on you on a 1.5 hour ride AND outside, not sure why the mask was necessary.They also announced that if you weren't wearing one for medical purposes, you're required to show proof......I'm pretty sure that isn't what the law states.

We've been visiting Pelee Island, usually a few times per year, for almost 40 years. The current ferry, Pelee Islander II, isn't my favourite but it's safe and comfortable and gets us there and back. In Covid-times, the cafeteria has not been open and no food is allowed to be taken onboard (excluding the provisions in your vehicle). Staff is always pleasant and helpful.

Very poor on communication. Have to be there an hour before, but place is all closed up 2 hours before. No indication as to where to line up etc...

The communication is lacking.I've called 3 times in a week and a half to book and they kept telling me to call back in a few days because their system was blocking the weekend off I wanted. Last Friday they told me I'd be able to book it this week. I call today and after being on hold for 37 minutes I get told that whole week is booked up and it has been for weeks. No one ever knows what's going on there and no one communicates with one another.

Love this service! Friendly helpful staff. The ferry doesn't run only in the worst of weather conditions. The only downside to the service is the ignorant passengers & their uncontrollable children.
