The Corner Market

This place used to be great, but I went tonight because we had our Grandson with us and what I witnessed was total confusion. The owner had 3 kids behind the counter one frying who was doing a fantastic job, the other girl on the till great job and the other I think it was her first job she did not know what to do. There was no leadership what soever, leaving those kids to deal with a Friday night tsunami was not fair and not the right thing to do, shame on the owner

I love this market! Everything from their homemade delicious pies, double baked and stuffed potatoes to their fish and chips, and especially their homemade banana walnut loaf!

***UPDATE I am updating my review from 5 stars to 2. I loved ordering the fish and chips on nights the kids had air cadets. I dont get home from work until 6:30 and I get home get undressed and walk over. I usually get there at 6:40 and they have already closed up the kitchen and am met with frustration, dirty looks, and attitude from the lady who works there and I feel like I'm burdening her with my sale. Because of this, I havent ordered from there in some time. Sad really because the food is delicious and a family fish deal once a week with added extras is a sale lost because of poor customer appreciation.I love their fish and chips. Massive portions and their tartar sauce is homemade and delicious. They also have a nice selection of baked goods and soups that you cook at home.

Once a week or so, I go here to get their AWESOME double stuffed baked potatoes! They’re just great. Bring em home and throw them in the oven at 420 for 20! Deeee-lish!!! Nice store. They have a good selection of prepared foods to take home. I love their shepherds pie too. Nice ppl work there too.

High quality food that you can get fresh, frozen or even heated before you pick it up. The hot food menu is offers a variety of delicious, high quality meals with excellent value. There is even a daily selection of fresh baking to choose from.

It's supposed to be open at 10am. It's 10:15 and place is dark and closed

The food is made fresh and is delicious! The fish and chips are fantastic and a great price...especially for the family deal.

This Restaurant is recently under new management and the quality and value has improved dramatically. Today I experienced a delicious hamburger that took me back to my days as a young man when hamburger was not a low class dish, but rather a delight made with care inside the kitchens across Canada. This Hamburger not only matches that nestalgia, it improves on it. Way to go The Corner Market, our end of town can finally experience the unsurpassed quality of fast" food made and served with love. I had a weird interaction with the woman at the cash. My girlfriend brought home lunch from here and was excited to show me the place. I wanted a quick walk through. Menu selection seems good and they have some odds and ends. I hate being one of those people who looks around and buys nothing so I got some butter tarts.I got nothing but an icy reception when I went up to cash out. Barely any eye contact walking up and abrupt responses and glares while she took my money. I shouldn't have bothered I guess.As a side note, they need to change their fryer oil more often. I tried a couple of my girlfriend's fries from her lunch. Home cut fries soak up more flavours since they sit in the oil longer and they definitely had an old oil taste.
