Havent been in years was in the area thought Id check it out. Felt the menu was a bit more expensive then I remember but that is to be expected with the times and with items being home cooked! Pictured is the homemade mushroom soup - a little heavy with a butter taste for me but I appreciated that strong umami flavour and the juicy (and plentiful) pieces of mushrooms.

This place stunk like someone had a cigarette party here. It was horribly smelling. Smoking is not allowed in restaurants so I don’t under why it smelt so terrible. The service was also equally horrible. There were only about five people in the place and the bartender was serving. She never came to ask how our food was until we were ready to leave. The burger was stone cold and she said there was nothing she could do about it because the owner wasn’t there. That’s a poor excuse. I won’t return and I wouldn’t recommend anyone go there either!

The food was terrible, wasn't like that a few years ago. Everytime I ordered something the waitress said we don't have that. Ended having a burger, not made in house. Not impressed and I will not go back.

First let me say I've eaten at the Gally Pump over a 20 year period and the food is almost always excellent. The prices continue to be very fair for the amount of food you receive and I would recommend them for food. Having said that I ordered 2 roast beef dinners tonight and it was a disaster. The fries were over cooked and cooked in old oil, the bread was burnt, the salad was supposed to be greek but was garden ( not a deal breaker for me but my daughter was looking forward to the Greek salad) but the biggest disappointment was the fact the the fries, gravy and roast beef all had a very strange taste to them almost chemical like. Both my daughter and myself could not eat it as it just didn't sit well and dinner was ruined.I'm not sure what happened with the food but it was the same for both roast beef dinners. All the food including the beef, fries and gravy had a very weird chemical like taste. It was very disappointing not to mention a waste of nearly $50.This may just be a one time thing as I said before the food is usually great and I've eaten most of there're menu but I will not order it online anymore.I will go there and order it to be sure it tastes as it should. I will continue to eat there as this is the first time it has happened so I understand that mistakes do happen but let's hope it was the last one when it comes to the food. The salads were good and so was the salad dressing.

The hamburger was really good. The waitress was a little sassy. And they were playing some good music, not loud. Easy to hold a conversation with my coworkers. Was hungry and forgot to get a pic.

Roast beef not recommended dry leather with hard grizzol included hidden by a dry large bun. Fresh cut fries should be made and served, not those frozen flavored ones price was outrageous for what was served.Also, as I explained this to the staff, there was no restitution given or a valid excuse made. I said nothing more paid the bill then left. So, as far as the reviews by others about the roast beef is why I went there in the first place, it was obviously overly exaggerated. I will be be visiting one more time in the next few months and then posting another honest review, I truly believe in giving a second chance.Let's hope for the best
