Gondola Pizza Restaurants

I’ve lived in Charleswood for 20 years and Gondola has always been my go to. Ordered a 15 inch meat few months ago and wife got a salad . My Order came to $50.00 .. and as I picked up my order and was walking out of store .. I remember thinking “Hmm this box feels really light .. just no weight to it at all”.When I got home, was very disappointed to see how small that the pizza was inside compared to big box they put it in to. I even called the store just to confirm that I had picked up the correct pizza .. I was told yes.It was good Pizza but … the amount of pizza that you get versus what they charge for it ?? Nope … not worth it .. and I will not be ordering from Gondola again.

I picked up two large pizza at Roblin Blvd location on October 31st, 2020It was the worst pizza that I remember I ever had in recent years. Even though I was told that my pizza would be ready in 40 minutes and I was at their location to pick it up on time, however the two large pizza I ordered was made long before I was told. Pizza was soft and barely warm yet tasted very bad. I even phoned them and told them about the awful quality of pizza they gave me. They told me that if there is something I want them to do. I responded that my call is not about taking the money back which I should had asked as it was an absolute waste of money, however i told them that I am very disappointed and even though i live only 2 kilometers away from their location, I will not ever go back there again.

Ordered pizza and breadsticks over the weekend and the pizza was amazing, but the breadsticks were awful. They tasted so stale, like old cupboard or an old shoe. We could not eat them. Called the restaurant and they basically said thanks for letting them know. But I want a refund. They were the worst tasting breadsticks ever !!!

By far the best tasting pizza around. Not even close from anywhere else. Niakwa makes a similar type of pizza but it is not as good. $50 for two 15” thin crust pizza...... ouch! It’s been about 5 years since I’ve ordered Gondola for this reason. Ordered it today, literally best pizza in 6 years. At that price I’ll see ya again in 6 years.... unfortunately.

Pizza good, arrived when they said would be ready, waited an extra 30 mins. They need a better way to do take out. I had to give them my phone number, they could have phoned when pizza was ready., so I and the other 10 people did not have to stand outside. This was the Charleswood location.

Love the pizza here for the price @ $15 for a cheese or pepperoni large pizza (discounted rate for only Monday-Wednesday though?).Quality, tasty, filling, proper size (L/XL), reasonable price!The staff guy didn’t have much of a sense of humour though!

Mediocre pizza. Quite greasy , so beware. really liked how thin the crust was tho. But the pizza wasnt tasty and made me feel sick

I was doing a pickup on June 16th 2023 around 8:20pm and while I was there, one of the staff gave their friends a free Dr. Pepper. They were joking about how loud the friend was opening the can and drinking it while the manager was doing paperwork in her office.More friends of the staff came into the restaurant and was yelling “Yo yo yo where’s our free pizza at?!” and the staff was trying to shush them by saying “Yo yo yo chill, the manager is in today.”After waiting more than the 6 mins longer the staff had told me the order is going to be ready, the staff member in the white sweater gave me the order I was picking and said in a rude condescending manner “Here you go.” Just to try and deescalate the tension I confirmed order number in a polite way but he kept his energy while responding “Yup.”I did not receive an update, apology nor a thank you for waiting longer than they initially said, which was incredibly disappointing.I came to pick up another order on June 16th 2023 around 9:34pm and the environment was more of the same. The staff member that told me “6 mins” the previous order this time said, in a condescending and dismissive way “Hello again.” The staff member in the white sweater was also talking down to me in a dismissive and condescending way while he was saying “The order isn’t ready yet, it’s gonna be a few minutes.” This is also without an apology nor a thank you for waiting.I stayed polite and professional and said “Ya, no worries at all, thank you.” The only polite staff member was the tall one in black making the pizzas. Unlike his coworkers, he said thank you.We’re are both working employees, so I highly recommend we are not treated as inferior just because you see us that way.Negative 5 star treatment.

Ordered 2 thin crust pizzas, which we pay a premium for. First one was PERFECT. Good amount of sauce, super cheesy and gooey. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time and a perfect thin crust Gondola pizza. The second one was DRY. Cheese was hard, no sauce on it at all. It crunched like a Dominos crunchy thin crust. Why the difference?

When things go well, life is easy. When the pizza oven breaks down, life gets interesting.Kudos to Esme and her staff for rising above the turmoil and taking the time to explain the situation to us and advise us of our options. We chose to wait a few extra minutes to get our food. I think it was worth the wait.
