The Beer Store

Very rude cashier today, normally no issues as I have been going to this store since it opened, ( 10 years maybe?) I am a 50 year old adult and was treated as a juvenile. I was not familiar with the black box return policy, only because i normally return full boxes of empties. When I questioned the process, the employee gave me attitude and sighed, like it was a chore to instruct me. I can not simply go somewhere else as they have monopolized the market. I asked for a receipt to confirm returns / purchases, and again attitude pursued. I hope management will address employee #69913 appropriately.

First time I went to this location and maybe she was just having a bad day but I really didn't appreciate the attitude when I asked a question.Regardless if it was something that was obvious or not that was no way to treat a customer with a genuine question, even slamming my change on the counter after the transaction was finished.Like hell I'm coming back here,Like not to knock the beer store in general as a whole because I mean almost all the time I've ever gone it's always been such a great experience as a consumer.

Four times in a row I have been in and a simple step like giving me a dollar in change turns into a drawn out 3 to 4 minute so clearly the staff is not trained on cash.Very disappointing for a large company like this to have staff that can’t make simple change if it’s not that when I asked for product I have to repeat myself 3 to 4 times And after speaking to people as I’m putting my product in the trunk I’m not the only one that feels this way so yet again the stuff is under educated on the product that they are selling.I will make the effort and drive to another township just so that I don’t have to deal with these issues for me I’d rather have my buying experience be a positive one.

They ask you to pull your mask down to see your face when IDing you even if you can provide 3 pieces of government ID. Called head office it is not a policy and they apologized. Spoke to the manager regarding the issue he was very helpful and reassured me of the mistake that it will be addressed to each employee that it is not a policy to show your face and it won’t happen again. Went in a week later got asked to pull my mask down again. I’m done with this location. Power trip employees need to get off their high horse. I’m not taking my mask off in the middle of a pandemic! Sorry not sorry!

What can I say? They took the empties back and gave me money
