Pelican Point Campground
The campground itself was very basic.The beach is decent.The playground was a hit with the kiddos.I would go back if I couldn't get a spot at ol'macdoanld right away, and needed this as a 2m1-2 day buffer.The staff here were exceptional! The county of Camrose staff member who maintains and monitors the campground was awesome. Such a nice person and he takes a lot of pride in the campground. He deserves a job well done by his supervisor.

Good basic campground with some trees. Has shower and bathroom facilities and a large beach and playground. Boat launch is also available as well as secondary parking for boat trailers. There is also a concession available with burgers, hot dogs and soft serve ice cream.

I'm sorry but in my opinion a campground should be less exposed to the weather as some sites are barely more than a 10' x 12' gravel spot exposed to everything.The out houses AND shower unit were a mess the entire long weekend and when we told the staff we were told it gets cleaned regularly" and that entire long weekend we noticed it was clean once. Just and awful experience and would only recommend if your in the area or have a boat....its the only good thing is the boat launch is right beside the campground"

Pelican Point Campground
We tent camped in site 11 during the week of July 25. Our site is likely the best of the tenting sites as there is some shade and an “overflow” area where we could hang our hammock and clothesline. We found the campsite well kept and generally quiet (no loud generators and people respected the 11pm quiet time). The concession is reasonably priced. You get about 3 min shower time for a loonie. Nice large Sandy beach and my daughters loved the interpretive trail. We enjoyed our stay and would return. Would be nice if there were more trees and if canoes/kayaks or SUPs were available to rent.

Beautiful lake and beach. Need to remove many white posts as it has made the campgroud dated. Main washroom was nice and clean. Some maintenance needs to be done as the place looks a little run down.

Nice little surprise last visit to Bashaw. Nicely groomed beach, just a little but of foam to get to water. Water has a little bit of algea. Some beautiful homes/cabins. Nice playground and an icecream and hotdogs supplied by BASHAW MEATS!!! Overnight camp available. Showers too. Wish there was a way to groom the muck you have to step in to get to the lake.

Great site. Nicely groomed. Great lakeside camping. Definitely need to be a people person though. Showers were nice but the outhouse was gross. They power wash the shower facility and it wouldn't hurt to give the out house in the middle of the site a spray. That's the only negative point.

Cramped sites near the beach. Feels like other campers are on top of you. Same sites are also gravel so not great for tenting.

The Campground was very ill maintained, there were no facilities to talk about, the lake was filthy and frothing, the toilets were stinky and not cleaned for days, there was absolutely no gap between the camp sites, zero privacy. The showers were dirty and the water was stinking. Will never go back nor recommend to others.
