Customer service in the New Minas branch is absolutely first rate. Stores on the whole have a wide range of products and are competitively priced.

We had to visit this store 3 times before we got what we were looking for. The staff was unable to locate an item (screen door) they said they had on stock. We even called ahead to make sure they had it before we went. Once we got there, they said there were none in stock. When we checked online it said the store had 7. The store computer inventory system said they had none and had no idea when they would be coming in again The item was even listed in the flyer on sale. On our third attempt we found a wonderful young man who actually went out of his way and climbed a ladder to find the item which was on the very top of the shelving. In actuality there were 6 more up there but no one else could be bothered to even look let alone do their job and help a customer. On a previous visit we were told what isle to look in and if we didn't see it there, they didn't have any. Very disappointed in the service at this Kent. On the weekends in particular the staff seem to stand around talking to each other or doing whatever on their cell phones and if you ask for help you feel like you are bothering them.

Went there tonight to purchase a flag for my father in law And also a few other products. Was followed around as if I was a criminal. Went to the check out and paid for my purchase. Was informedBy the cashier that it is mandatory to check my wife’s purse. Allowed them to check. Because we had nothing to hide. Them the cashier and three other young employees continued to follow myself and my wife out the door as if we are criminals. When to my vehicle and returned and asked for the manager. Spoke to her and feel as nothing had been done. This is not right

Was just asked to put a mask on and I said I had a medical card which he didn’t want to see. I had a face shield on trying to do my part. Store was not busy I have built 10 new homes in the last 15 years so you can imagine the money that I have spent in your store over this time frame. I will never be backI was just at Home Depot with no issues. Guess they will continue to get all my money in the futureShame on you for not excepting my medical card

Absolutely the worst contractor supply business in the Annapolis Valley. I have been asking for a lumber package from Jacques at the pro desk since July 2022, which would have included a floor joist package. It is now March 2023 and after countless emails and in person interactions, with promise after promise, he lied and said that he hasn’t done one floor joist package in the almost year of me submitting my house plans. When I went in person again to question the $6000 price tags for the lumber framing package, his co worker, Mike, berated me and said they were far too busy and for me to go elsewhere. The level of unprofessionalism is astounding. And when I decided to escalate the situation to the store manager, days latter, silence. DO NOT SHOP HERE! I am planning to build my home a mere 7 minutes away from Kent in New Minas, and thought this would be the ideal location to use to built my home. But I guess my measly $250,000 that I was going to spend isn’t worth their time. I also own a small renovation company, where I almost always went to that store to buy supplies. I will NEVER step another foot in their again. Such a shame. Perfect location for me, and it being a Canadian business, I had planned to support them every way I can. But with a lackluster store manager, and two incompetent and terribly rude pro desk employees, I guess my purchasing requirements will be better met at Home Depot or home hardware.

After being into other local stores looking for items to make a project work (needed to think outside the box to find something to work) with no success i decided to try Kent. To be honest I have only stepped foot into the store once before. I approached some guys at project desk and explained what I was attempting to do. Two immediately starting thinking of suggestions,one heading to a section looking while the second took me to a 3rd associate Aaron and we explained to him what I needed. He immediately started brain storming and we went section by section finding different pieces that could work. He spent a great amount of time listening and helping with each part. I was beyond appreciative of all the help as well as the time he took to make sure we found what could work also without breaking the bankKent has gained a new customer and Aaron deserves the recognition for ensuring I will be back for future project needs.

This company does not stand behind warranties and is consistently over priced

I usually like Kent but this store has a very unique way of offering poor customer service, at a very high level. On Saturday night we arrived at their location only to find that they closed a couple hours early, for inventory. Of course inventory is a necessary process but they couldn’t even be bothered to put a sign up on the doors or update their google business listing to reflect the closure. Again, poor customer service at a very high level. I’ve had several negative experiences here and today at a restaurant I overheard a group of people remarking on how bad Kent in New Minas is, which reminded me to leave a review…
