$6.75 for adult admission. There are 2 trails in the park area. There's a small museum of the writer's life in the main building and a boutique. There's the house where the writer's grandparents lived in.The Haunted Woods trail leads to a park and the home where the writer lived in. After the trail, if you continue past the park, you'll come to the next area where there's a bookstore going towards the writer's home.If you want to visit the home where LM Montgomery lived, you need to pay another admission fee.Go back on the path where it splits. and you'll get to see the post office (that works to this day) and the church were the writer went to.The blue path on the map is the Lover's Lane pathway where LM Montgomery walked here as a child.

Loved walking the trails and seeing what could spark the imagination. Along with this, it was fascinating being able to go through the house and learn a lot from both the information listed around but also from the knowledgeable staff. To top it off, if you have a sweet tooth there is beavertails near the entrance which was messy but delicious.

Nice exhibit about the author of Anne of Green Gables. Nice presentation of her life and philosophy of a great author. Beautiful home, based on the book and about the special place it was to visit, by the author.

I was always a big fan of the television program of Anne if Green Gables and have read the books when I was younger. So coming to PEI and getting to see the author's grandparents homestead was a very interesting experience.

I never thought I would travel to this shrine! It really is a very impressive site that embodies the life and influences of one of Canada's greatest authors that has influenced many people around the world. If you get to go for a visit, you won't be disappointed!

This is the place I wish I could keep to myself. Such a serene site! It's L.M. Montgomery's house. The structure is original, and the items inside are those from her time. (Quite a few of them were donated by the people of the island.) The house is furnished, and the staff is knowledgeable. Wonderful! The exhibition is great, and the trails are divine (the Lovers' Lane and the Haunted Woods). The greenery wasn't in full swing, but we still enjoyed them immensely! I bet it's even better in the summer. I can't say enough good things about this experience.

Great mix of open air museum, historical site of where Montgomery grew up (her cousins house actually) and formative years for the inspiration for Anne’s character.Trials and the beaver tail pastry are also a must have!

I'll be totally up front and honest: I've never read the Anne of Green Gables books, and it's been years since I saw the original movies. I do know, however, that if you're in PEI, this is one of the pilgrimages you have to make. The welcome center was bright, clean, and welcoming. There was ample parking. There is an introduction to the life of L.M. Montgomery to give context to the house. Once you're out of the welcome center, there isn't much to tour around except the Green Gables house and the haunted woods walk. The house is a self-paced walk through with walking lanes being roped off. I do wish there was more signage to give context to what I was seeing because you can walk the entirety of the house in five minutes or less. The Canada Parks staff in the house were friendly, but I felt they were there more to ensure the flow of traffic than interpretation. The house is not handicap accessible from what I could see. The walk in the haunted woods was calm, although the devastation from Hurricane Fiona is seen everywhere with downed trees lying in the woods. The walk in the woods takes 15-20 minutes with some educational placards placed throughout the walk.

Green Gables Heritage Place displays the history and writing journey of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables. This beautiful space encompasses the story of the writers life, showcasing her passion, struggles, and inspiration as well as actualize the story of Anne of Green Gables right before your eyes. You journey through the writers life, and then go outside to visit Anne’s house as it would have been in reality. The space is beautiful, clean, and well taken care of. A wonderful place to be if you’re a lover of the book.
