One of the best dining experience I’ve had in Montreal, most restaurants don’t even hold a flame to this one! The place was charming w/ great service, and not only was the food unbelievable, it was beautifully presented. I highly recommend every item pictured (which is everything we had!)5⭐️

Brought some out of town guests yesterday trying to show off my city's culinary brilliance. If you’re coming for the food, you won’t be disappointed. If you are as unlucky as my friends and I were to have such curt, rude service then you’re going to be disappointed. The waiter was intolerable, disengaged and appeared to care about exactly nothing. Living in a city with so many amazing restaurants, I wouldn’t rush to recommend or return when I know I can have an unparalleled experience with matched service at dozens of competitors.Compliments to the chef and cooks, however. The food was experiential - I had the cod special with pesto and red pepper salsa.

Les Canailles has a delightful French fare, perfect for big groups. Our waiter was very friendly, took his time to explain the menu 3 times! To ensure we all got a chance to hear the menu properly and ask questions. Highly attentive, wonderful service. It is however loud, so if you want a quiet romantic date for two, it is not the place for that!The food was delicious especially the risotto but I was not super impressed with dessert. I would likely skip it next time around.Note: BYOB place

Birthday outing was very nice!! We had the table d'hôte which consisted of arancini and warmed honey camembert. Followed was the Trou Normand. Main meal was salmon tartar and a plate of ravioli in a rich creamy sauce. Lastly we enjoyed a desert of crème brulée and home made tiramisu. The server was very amiable and efficient. By the way it is Bring Your Own Wine!!

Had a great experience here it’s a bring your own wine restaurant so they pay more attention to getting more flavour in the food which is always good.Waiter really nice and polite bilingual didn’t get his name but very unprofessional and attentive.Went with the cod to start then salmon tartare which was amazing presentation and taste was really enjoyable experience.The menu is small which is better and they do have specials, l do prefer restaurants with small menu the food is always better quality and staff have more knowledgeable about everything.

Food is extremely good. Classic, well made, well presented. Daily specials are especially good. Service was efficient and friendly. Couple of things: paper napkins seem out of place given the price of the dishes; upholstery on the seats was completely worn out and is in dire need of a refresh; the table top was sticky; the front door would get stuck half open and a cold draft would come in, and my husband had to repeatedly get up and close it; they didn't change cutlery after the appetizers, even if they were completely crusted with melted cheese; Beefeater as a gin is sad given how the multitude of local choices available; soup spoons to eat our dessert was very weird. None of those issues is a deal breaker, but they add up! We loved the food, but the experience surrounding it was a bit sub par, so I can't give the place five stars, unfortunately.

I’m not amazed with the food. Magret de canard is slightly overcooked and the gravy didn’t bring out any special flavor. For the paella, I would’ve liked the taste of seafood to blend in more in the rice. They were pretty generous in the amount of seafood in the plate though. Service was also excellent and price is decent as it is a bring your own wine.
