Since the COVID-19 Pandemic started, I called Sunlife twice to put my account on hold as I've been furloughed from work with no income coming in and EI wasn't enough to pay rent, bills, buy groceries and also pay for my personal health insurance. No one called me back since I've been attempting to call several times. I received a letter stating they will terminate my benefits since they haven't received any payments. I've been with Sunlife for many years and not once was any of my payments delayed. This is unacceptable and unprofessional especially in a time where the entire country/world is affected by the Pandemic. I will definitely be looking elsewhere for personal health insurance benefits.
