Sentinel Storage - Richmond

JAZ did an amazing job helping us. It is the first time for us to rent a storage and she provided an exceptional customer service. Jaz made us feel so welcomeThe facility is clean but the unit that I rented was a bit dirty and had lots of sands on the ground, and some tiny glass shards. I did some cleaning and now it is better. Sometimes the unit's lever is stuck so I had to jiggle a bit before I can close and lock the unit.it's heated and have AC.

I’m really impressed with the customer service I received today from Don at Sentinel’s Richmond location. Sure, a gift card draw influenced my decision to submit this review (heh), but I’m happy to provide feedback about this genuinely kind and knowledgeable employee. Of course the services and facility are great too; better than another location (on 73rd in Surrey) I had gone to due to my partner’s unit. I’m very satisfied with this business and location, and highly recommend it.

Don, the store manager at the Richmond BC facility, was very friendly and helpful and was able to meet our storage needs, while also working out the best possible fees. Just how you would want it!

I was a previous customer at this branch and was happy with my rental. I rented a storage unit again and Don was great. Very nice and was not rushing me to get a unit. He showed me the different units, explained the rental rules, when they charge and how to cancel. A bit pricey now but it is heated and the place is clean and well maintained. Varun was also very helpful and did not make it hard for me when I wanted to move to another unit closer to the elevator. I would definitely recommend this branch. Excellent customer service.

This company is totally unreliable , negligent and not trust - worthy . The following is what had happened to us .About two years ago , attracted by her promise of the state of the art security system and 24- hour surveillance, we opened a storage locker with Sentinel’s facility in Richmond BC. Last week , when we visited the storage to check out stuff , we were shocked to find that ALL of our valuables and goods in the locker were gone , emptied! We reported the incident to the local police immediately and then we found out the following :1. There is NO sign of break-in into the storage . The door lock is intact, undamaged. Everything looks calm and normal outside.2. The activity report issued by the company surprisingly shows that there is NO record whatsoever of other entrance and exit after our last visit , when at that time , we are certain that all of our belongings were still inside the storage, and the door was properly locked and closed when we left .3. Worst still , we discovered later for some reasons , the staff at Sentinel had decided to cancel our standard Insurance Protection Plan a few months ago without our written consent and even informing us , therefore leaving us totally exposed to this crime .I am an artist , and not only I have lost all of my major artworks in the last 10 years , I have also lost my collection of artworks by my fellow artists. It is heartbreaking and devastating. Even with such a major crime at the facility , up to the time of writing , seven days after the theft is reported to the police , the company remains silent on why such a robbery in such manner can happen under their watch and 24-hour cameras surveillance!This case is still under investigation. I sincerely hope that those who are looking for a safe place for their valuables must think twice when choosing your storage . Clean facility, friendly faces , seemingly credible surveillance and so-called “advanced security system” may not be the only factors that matter .#metoostoragecrimePlease hashtag and share your story if your have similar experiences
