Chapters - Halifax

Clean store, staff is very friendly! Online purchases and picking up online orders is chaos. Alot of confusion the 3 times I've ordered online for in-store pickup. Premature emails when products are not in yet, so you go and have to come back multiple times.

Love the selection of books, but miss the cafe - used to be a great spot to go hang out on a rainy afternoon

I miss the store that had the comfy chairs that invited you to sit and read. Gone is the Starbucks as well, although I'm told a new Canadian coffee concept is around the corner. Enjoying a coffee while sampling a book is a bit of a right of passage for me. I was also aware that more and more of the store is made up of other things than books. Is that the correct strategic direction to take Chapters? I wonder if that part of the business is sustaining itself. Which begs the question; Are books stores going the same direction record stores went? Sad.

It was a Chapters, no different from any other. However, this one had lots of staff working, they were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and they had a decent selection of books in my area of interest. The staff were also very interested helping me find or order whatever it was I needed.

I on my most recent trip I good this location to be well stockedv with helpful staff. I located a boxed set of books for my son. Unfortunately, it was priced much higher in store than online. All it took was a quick conversation with a staff member and I was able to pay the lower price and leave with books. I'll definitely return again the next time on in the city.

Chapters is always good no matter time of day or year. Lots of selection to choose from and easy to get around. Halifax Chapters could put some effort into updating the storefront, maybe some new paint.

The staff there was pretty awesome, with a large selection of books. AJ, in particular, was extremely helpful; I gave them the genres and themes I was looking for in a book and they knew exactly what to find to fit my taste. Absolutely amazing!

Oneof the neatest bookstore I have visited. But there is another level of providing a one stop shop for literature and much more. Books, journals, dairies, new, old , contemporary, classics, and TOYS!!!! Amazing experience.

One stop shop. Self-wrap station was fantastic especially during last minute Christmas shopping.
