We came from the West Coast trail and got a taxi to the motel. Very friendly staff and the room was cozy and very tidy. A luxury after being soaked and cold for a week straight. We did our laundry, cleaned our gear, and cooked some food for ourselves in the kitchenette. A hot shower and a clean comfortable bed was greatly appreciated!

the owner is so kind and helpful!! And the motel is near to everything! Bamfield is a real pearl, it's so calm and peaceful, we love it. But the 100km unpaved road to this town is painful for our small car. However, if you have a good strong car, it worth to go!!

Yes it's a place to stay, but they over price it way to much For just a room that stinks and front door that's been broken into already. The floors were sticky and dishes we not cleaned prior to our stay. Over all its way to expensive for what it is. Just pitch a tent you would be far better off.

My fiancee and I took a trip to Bamfield over the weekend and couldn't be happier with the trip! From booking to check out, Ron and Hacas Inn staff were kind, helpful, and really made us feel at home. The rooms are simple, but clean perfect for what we needed. Really comfortable bed, and a nice balcony to take in a bit of an ocean view! The motel is close to a pub and across the street from a small market/grocery where you can buy food as well - everything was very convenient and we have absolutely no complaints.Fantastic trip if you appreciate a small, peaceful town with a rich local culture and breathtaking scenery (and you're willing to drive 80k up an unpaved logging road!). We really fell in love with the area and will be back to Bamfield and Hacas Inn for sure. :)

Not a 5 star hotel but this is Bamfield and it was perfect luxury before our trek on West Coast Trail. Warm. Clean. And best of all....DVD players in all rooms with a huge DVD library in lobby. When is last time you browsed DVD

I had a great experience with my time at the Bamfield Hotel. I stayed here with a group of friends in late June 2016 prior to heading off on the West Coast Trail. Bobby was extremely welcoming and accommodating. The level of service provided went above and beyond what I would have ever expected. The accommodations are basic, but comfortable and generally good value. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Stayed in room 22 two nights - July 6th and 7th, 2021.We booked this stay well in advance and Ron assured us, that there is a lot of vacancies and our request for a suite on top floor could easily be fulfilled. On arrival we were given a suite on lower floor and we were told by very unpleasant receptionist that the motel is fully booked and this is the only suite available. It had small kitchen, 1 separate bedroom and queen bed in the kitchen area.Problems we found:Room front door is located in closed in area and the door itself was previously broken and repaired, but it does not fit properly and could easily be broken into.Room itself smelled old and musty.Smoke detectors were removed and exposed wires left in the ceilingShower had hardly any pressure and temperature included random bursts of HOT water.Dish rags just stank. They were not washed in ages.Could not open balcony sliding door, since the party next door smoked 5’ from it.Bathroom door knob was loose and almost falling out.Fridge was noisy - wakes you up at night.Sliding door drapes pull stick not attached. Can't close drapes completelyKitchen cupboard door was missing,Stove was wobbly,Fridge not properly leveled. Door doesn't close on it's own.Bathroom sink + toilet are way lower than standard height.Electrical plugs loose. Old and worn out.One of the kitchen / upholstered chairs is filthy. No bathroom fan.We had noisy neighbour upstairs stomping and moving furniture few times a night.Receptionist hours are very limited.Public pay phone does not comply with Covid protocol.Maybe it was just this room and the other rooms are better, but I wouldn't stay here ever again.

Stayed here 2 years ago and rooms were basic but clean. Stayed last month. Apparently new managers and we arrived to moldyfoodstuffs in the fridge. Musty smell that never went away. Kitchen sink backed up into bathroom sink with foul gunk. They did fix it next day. Smoke detectors not connected. Moorage is 1st come 1st serve and we had nowhere to tie up except 10 minutes down the road. Won't be back for the price. Burned out garbage outside our room. Just awful.

This is a hikers or real fishermen motel. It is for those used to live in remote areas or been on the water for some time and who need the very basic. Not for those who are used to the hotel chains. To get items including parts to that area it cost more than it costs in a big town. You might experience power outages in the whole town or delays in medical aid.A comprise between comfort, price and paradise. We got a cozy two bed room during off-season. Clean, warm, very quiet.Interestingly I slept better than in my own bed. Maybe because there was no city background noise or maybe the ocean air, not sure.Thinking of going back for my kayaking trip. The pictures are from the nearby dock.

Awesome place. I would definitely give 10 stars to this place if I can. If you are just passing by, please take your time and spend a few days here. We accidentally went to Bamfield and decided to live in the motel for one night. Ron, the owner of this motel is such a nice guy. He introduced the great sights of Bamfield to us. The beach is about 3 kilometers with soft sands, and barely has anyone on it. You may also see whales if you are lucky, unfortunately we didn't. We also went to the science center where you can see many different kinds of sea animals. It's amazing. Anyway, we spent 3 days here but I still feel it's too short. Bamfield has much more than these for me to explore. The best part of this place to me is that everyone here is super nice, especially Ron. I would recommend this place to all my friends. Ron, thanks again! And see you next time.
