Centre A: Vancouver International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art

Tried to visit there recently but was turned away. They didn't mention anything about being closed for installation on their website, it was inconvenient for me to go all the way there on a rainy day only to find out they weren't open. Now I see they've updated their listing here on Google to mention 'temporarily closed'. When I tried to bring up my concerns with them about not updating their site, they didn't seem very apologetic about it. They said they had mentioned it on Instagram but I'm from out of town and only found out about their gallery only recently. I was unaware they had a social media account and usually I depend more on Google to check the hours of a location. I was disappointed by our interaction, especially since I was looking forward to visiting this place, because there aren't many galleries dedicated to Asian diasporic communities. Hope they will perform a bit more professionally in the future.Also not sure if this is written on the site, (I see it's mentioned on google), but I had no idea you needed to be buzzed in past a green security gate and that they were on the 2nd floor. It is a bit confusing to navigate and access.
