Super 8 by Wyndham Hearst ON

During a 4000 I’m move, we stopped in here to stay the night. Beautiful facility and basic rooms for cheap as well as very fancy rooms for a bit more…. The gentleman at the front desk, who works early shift, helped save my husbands life during a serious of seizures. They treated me and my family so well and were so caring while my husband was in hospital, and they even booked us an extra 2 days while my husband recovered in hospital, as I never even thought of that with all the stress of the situation. We ended up arriving 3 days behind, but because of Super 8 @ Hearst, we ALL arrived alive. Now we are moving back across the country, and we specifically booked with this hotel again so we can enjoy the great staff, customer service, great quality accommodations, and feel SAFE life we are staying at a family member’s home.

Not bad for just an overnight stay. Clean and easy check in. Just make sure you get a room on 2nd floor. I was in the ground floor and could hear everything upstairs

Good room service was ok but the hot tub was closed and they didn't mention it and the water of the indoor pool was cold.

The staff is great. Friendly, quick and professional. But every time we get a room there, there's an issue with the place, not the staff, just the place.We got a room 3 times in the last 2 months, but the first 2 times they had no pool, so we left way earlier than expected. And we decided to try one last time this weekend, for our early Valentine's day weekend. Well we decided to leave early yet again this morning.Yesterday when I went to get our key card room, they were finally getting the pool heater fixed, so the water of the pool was very cold still. So we said that we'll sleep one night, and that we'll wait until tomorrow around 10h30am to check out the pool again, and it was still cold, despite the heater running all night. We assume it will take a few days for it to get warm, but no more, we're done trying.To top it off, the pancake machine kept working on and off, so some people were able to get some, and others not. The ones who managed to get some had to mess around with the machine, and be very patient. But again, It was still on and off. The guy behind the counter just said it was broken. We love super 8 pancakes and were not able to get it. But the cold pool is our main reason for leaving early yet again.I suggest people to drive an extra hour to Kapuskasing, to get a warm nice pool, and great pancakes for breakfast. It's what we'll do from now on. Every time we go there, it's what we get.It's to bad, because the staff is super great. Marc-André, Mira and the rest of the staff, are great behind the counter, and go out of their way to try to help you out. But they work with what they've got, and it all needs an upgrade.Again, the staff is not the problem, the place needs a major revamp.

A little dated but very clean.. staff was great I had a great sleep before my next day on the road

OMG, the service was outstanding, even though I got stuck in their parking lot in the heart of a winter storm, as well as being handicapped with onlyv1 leg. They helped me beyond what they needed to do. The staff were totally awesome. Easy to talk to, friendly, and they kept their cool during a storm that was beyond their control. It's a great place to stay, rooms were well kept and clean. But it's the staff that made it the better place to be. I'd stay there again.

Horrible hotel, 180$ for the night once taxes were accounted for. Hot tub and sauna were out of order, apparently have been for months. Pool was fridge temperature. The room looked like someone slapped some lipstick on a pig. The staff even recommended leaving a poor review, they said they've been trying to get the owners to fix things for awhile. Don't waste your money staying here.

Front desk staff was friendly and quick. We stayed one night with our Yorkie in room 120, room was clean, bed was comfy. Was able to park right out front of our room which was great. Quiet hotel despite being right on highway and with rain tracks behind.Order supper from the Companion motel next door, which was quite good.Hallways were kind of old and smelly but sill clean. Breakfast was OK.Only downfall was that we specifically booked this hotel for pool and hot tub, both of which were out of order. Would of been nice to know before we checked in. Price was a bit highfor not being able to use the facilities

It's great, the kids will love to swim and breakfast starts so early that's a plus
