BEST katsu in Markham with great variety of meat and sauces! Would recommend the spicy gravy, but the shrimp with tartar sauce was also delicious! Place is small so might not be ideal for larger groups, but great for a quick bite.

Waited 30 min for a table but was worth it! We got cheese stick appetizer, king ramen, and chicken donkatsu with spicy and carbonara sauce.Cheese stick appetizer- 4/5. Very crispy on the outside with a nice cheese pull when still hot. Pork was juicy. I found it a bit bland so the accompanying sauces (brown and cranberry sauce) were helpful. Would be nice if they could add a sprinkle of salt on the cheese or in the batter.King Ramen- 4/5. Noodles were delicious, fantastic chew. Broth was hearty pork bone base with a kick of heat. Very flavourful and delicious. Pork was ok.Chicken with 2 sauces- 5/5. Chicken was juicy, not dry. Batter was extra crispy, and not super greasy. Our favourite was the spicy gravy! The cream gravy was good as well. Highly recommend!!!The food did take a while as they were extremely busy, so if you are in a rush just be warned. We came at 6:30 pm on Friday, and enjoyed our meal and time together!

Katsu is tasty and crispy. Ramen they claim the noodle is made in house, which is thin but good texture. Broth seems to be heavy in MSG tho.Recommend to order everything set A cause you have 3 types of katsu to try. Fish, pork and shrimp.Interior is a bit old / dated.Fast service.Provide cash discount.

Have been coming in for couple years now for Donkatsu and I must say, it was always been an outstanding experience from start to finish. The restaurant is located in a prime spot, making it easily accessible, and the atmosphere is warm, cozy and inviting.As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff who quickly prepared a table for us. The menu had a wide selection of options, making it hard to choose what to order. In the end, I went with their Everything Set A with pork cutlet, and I was blown away by the quality and flavor of the food. The pork katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the fish was perfectly flaky and not dry.What impressed me the most was the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience. From the presentation of the dishes to the quality of the ingredients, it was evident that the restaurant takes pride in what they do. The decor was simple, yet elegant, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.Overall, I had an amazing time at Brown Donkatsu and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious katsu dining experience in the area. The prices were reasonable, the portions were generous, and the quality of the food was exceptional. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items.

First time here after waiting so long to try them out and it really did not disappointThe pork katsu was super crispy and the brown sauce is THE sauce they are known for and just complements the katsu so perfectlyThe cheese chicken katsu was also awesome. So nice and cheesy and if you want that cheese pull, this is the dish to get!Pull after pull with every piece you chickenPlace is small so if you go during busy times, there may be a small wait, but the staff are quick in trying to turn over tables to constantly make spaceAnd the staff are super nice too. I know they make amazing katsu, but it was my first time trying their ramen. Honestly, my expectations for ramen in GTA is very low since I couldn’t really find a good place for ramen, but I actually like it here!

A delicious place for Tonkatsu or Ramen. I was so relieved that they were kid friendly, as we really wanted to try this place out. They provided us with fun children bowls and forks to share our food. The Tonkatsu was so crispy and delicious. Order the Brown sauce on the side to keep the cutlet crispy for every bite.

delicious + fresh + quality food for a good price!! the staff and owner are so kind and lovely as well. the pork katsu is so good and crispy, and if you come you have to try the cheese stick tonkatsu because the cheese pull is so satisfying. amazing experience i love coming here!!!!

I went here during weekdays for lunch, it was not packed so didn’t need to wait. You need to get that brown sauce, no idea what it is but it goes so well with the fired pork (with cheese). The ramen you can definitely share with your friend, the portion is huge

Really good Katsu Korean restaurant with large selection of food choices, at affordable prices. Although the meat is fried, it is still juicy and soft. The restaurant is a bit small, so expect to wait for a table. They offer 5% cash discount. They offer cold water and hot tea for drinks. I will return.
