Jason was the BEST !! Awesome communication and I love my newly renovated home ! The sub contractors that were hired were great as well. The only downside was it took a long time through no fault of Jason’s - the trades and supplies are hard to find. Jason gave great advice that I hadn’t even thought of. Jason at Mariposa homes did a great job managing my project. I needed a basement taken from completely unfinished to partially finished. This was a little bit of an odd request, but Jason was more than willing to work with me on the idea. Jason and his team did the framing, rough in plumbing and electrical, insulation, windows, and wallboard. The project was on time and mostly on budget. There were a few approved changes, one un-expected event, and small overages that increased the cost a bit. I was kept up to date on all the goings on, and everyone who came on my property was experienced and respectful. I would definitely use Mariposa homes again, and recommend them to anyone looking for remodeling work.

Mariposa was the right choice for our home renovation. From day one they were courteous and professional. Mariposa executed our plans to perfection and communication was very clear through the entire project while expectations were set and met with no surprises. Through the course of our renovation we made changes and Mariposa was able to accommodate our requests. We undertook a major renovation with Mariposa Homes based on a word-of-mouth recommendation. Jason and Ben have been trustworthy, responsive, and hand-on and we would not hesitate to work with them again on our next project.Given they work as a team, we appreciated the strength in numbers - it was like having two general contractors in one. They were detail oriented - for example, Jason noticed some finishing work that wasn't up to his standard and I didn't even have to ask about it - he had asked for it to be redone. They were also organized - every two weeks, Ben had an invoice copy printed and ready for our records.Both were exceptional at communicating with us, especially when problem-solving a bump in the road (as to be expected). They also led a group of professional sub-contractors to complete our renovation and produce quality finishing work. I was able to meet everyone - from the electrician to the plumber, and they were all skilled and informative. Jason and Ben ensured they executed our plans exactly as discussed.We couldn't be more pleased, and we will miss having their kind faces at our house regularly (even though we are SO HAPPY the renovation is done).Thanks Jason and Ben!

Jason and Benny are both honest and professional. I had two great experiences with Mariposa homes. The first was to renovate a completly unfinished basement and install a master bedroom with window, washroom and laundry room and the other was to build a shed. In both cases they completed the job beyond expectation and within budget.

Jason and Ben provided accurate estimates and action plans for our renovation. Costs were reduced by seeking out less expensive subcontractors. Billing was transparent with individual receipts for all material purchased and subcontractor costs. Work was continuous until the job was complete. It was a pleasure to see them arrive each morning, especially during lonely pandemic times. Skilled, hard working and honest. The finished work is structurally very sound and looks great. Jason and Ben did an amazing job transforming my backyard and deck into a more usable space year round. The project was larger than anything we've done before so we knew we had to hire a professional. I decided to go with Mariposa Homes because I really appreciated Jason's timely and professional response. We met on several occasions to discuss what the vision was and Jason was always able to provide different options/things to consider. After agreeing on the plan, Jason's crew began in earnest and the work progressed as per his timeline. Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic did slow things down part way through; but Jason was always upfront and communication was never a problem. The contractors that work with Mariposa are also top notch and I cannot say enough about their professionalism and attention to detail. They always cleaned up after the end of the day and were good with waste disposal. Whenever I did spot something, Jason was always quick to reach out to his contractors and the issue was rectified the next day. I applaud Jason's attention to detail and honesty with his customers. At the end of the day, my wife and I are extremely happy with Mariposa Homes and would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them!

Typically, we prefer to hire a contractor that we, or someone we know, have had experience with in the past. As we wanted a General Contractor to undertake a full basement renovation and we had no one to turn to, we contacted Mariposa Homes who had recently moved into our neighbourhood. The project has now been completed and we are thrilled with the results. Jason and Ben from Mariposa are an incredible team. They are efficient, professional, respectful and skilled. As we have an older home, they were required to be flexible and resourceful in determining alternative solutions as we discovered impediments along the way. We were also extremely pleased with their extended team of sub-contractors.
