Halibut House Fish and Chips
The food was delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked and not over breaded. However, the fries are the weakest point of the meal as they were too many in number and were genuinely used as a filler.The service was excellent and Sue made sure to check in on us at least twice while we ate.Yeah, atmosphere was also excellent as it was very quiet despite being full, and we were able to have a conversation without being interrupted.

The special offers of fish and chips are really worth it and the food is really tasty. Their service is very good and place is clean. Recommend for quick meal.

Halibut House Fish and Chips
Great place to have fish and chips. The King cod deal on Wednesday was fantastic price such a big fish and chips plate for under 15$ including taxes is just plane amazing. Great service and fast turnaround time. the tartar sauce is really good and they also customized the chips for us when we requested to make them more crisp. Overall a great place and I would recommend to everyone to give it a try if you are a fan of Fish and Chips

Very good breakfast and server was very polite. But I will not return to Halibut House. The price for the breakfast was amazing but the coffee was way to pricey 2.95 for 1 cup of coffee outrageous. Thanks but no thanks

Halibut House Fish and Chips
Big, airy, well lit restaurant! Quick service with a smile. A couple little glitches with the order, but quickly corrected. My sons ordered clams despite my warning (they are used to fresh fried clams from Nova Scotia). Unfortunately they were as disappointing as expected- tiny pre-frozen clam" and mostly batter. The fried pickles and mushrooms were hot and flavourful. The main dishes of halibut and haddock were much better. Good sized portions and tasty

Halibut House Fish and Chips
Ordered three fish dinners to take out. The cost was 72.00I have never written a review before….good or bad. But this meal compelled me to do just that and save someone from making a mistake. The meal was inedible. The fish was 1/4 inch thick, square shaped and microwaved to the point we couldn’t cut it. It tasted of nothing….a few dry French fries and no coleslaw. Will never order again or recommend to anyone.Just to be clear my husband asked for three fish and chip dinners to go. The fish was not battered or grilled.

Halibut House Fish and Chips
Order here before by uber eats and it was so delicious! We finally had a chance to dine in and WOW the food was amazing! It’s was perfectly cooked, especially the fish and chips! The server was so nice and engaging, I honestly have to say, hands down probably the best server in the whole Barrhaven. She really went over and beyond, making sure everything was ok. I definitely recommend and will be coming back soon!

Halibut House Fish and Chips
I got their king cod and chips special. The cod was definitely huge and even though it was fish it was filling. The fish had a very nice, crunchy batter and the fish itself was moist. The chips (fries) were sub par, they had almost no crunch to them and definitely tasted old. The tartar sauce for the fish was a little sweet but definitely good, they also have vinegar, salt, and pepper on the table to season it as you please. Service was fast and it wasn't too busy when I came in around lunch time. Would come again, just not for the fries.
