Centre For Martial Arts

My daughter and my husband take aikido classes for several years now. We`re very happy with this center. The teacher is great, knowledgeable and disciplined. My 8 year old is making progress every month. The price is very affordable, I would say lower then most places. Great facility.

It's not the place that makes it home, but the instructors there. The location itself is quite convenient, but honestly the dojo itself is beginning to get dated. I have been a student since 1998 and eventually have become an instructor, and it has been sad to see the site deteriorate. The club has every bit of potential to be an exceptional dojo, but the upkeep has been questionable. What makes this a 5-star rating is how good the instructors are. They are strict when it's needed, yet very kind and compassionate for the rest of the time. They know how to read your strengths & weaknesses, and how to create a very warm, family environment that makes you want to come back as much as you can. They are able to match the speed of information to your receptiveness and will work with you if you are willing to spend the time. It is definitely worth a try. Do not judge a book by it's cover.

So far I've only been in for two classes on my trial run. The instructors are very good at demonstrating and figuring out any flaws with your techniques. I'm definitely willing to get into these classes a lot more in the future.
