Driftwood Village

Just had an excellent stay at Driftwood Village with a buddy of mine. We rented a 2-bedroom cottage, which was an excellent option. Fred, the main onsite caretaker was super friendly and helpful with a number of little things, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.Rooms and bathroom were very clean and stocked with clean bedding, enough towels, soap, shampoo, and coffee. The meadow area is a beautiful spot. Driftwood Village was a laid back little spot with everything you need and zero pretentious resort vibes.Make sure to checkout the Bluffs up the hill from Driftwood Village. It's about a 40 minute walk uphill from the resort, or a short drive by car that gets you all the way there. Take the trail to right at the top of the Bluffs parking lot for the best view which is about a 5 min walk from the Bluffs parking lot.We walked as our main form of transport, though would definitely recommend bringing a car or a bike. If walking there is a shortcut path through the Lions Park (baseball diamond) to get to the resort, that shaves off about 5 minutes from your walk.6 stars!!

It's such a lovely place # 10 cottage was a nice place It's a studio big enough for (2) two people.

Super quaint, nicely and simply appointed cottages. There is a cute shack with island tips and old games - perfect for if you left your backgammon board at home. Our wood stove was an awesome feature to have in the middle of a snowstorm. Thanks for the hospitality! ✌

Our family had the pleasure of staying at the Driftwood this past weekend. Clean, roomy and adequately stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and a small deck for outdoor seating. The cabins are nicely spaced for privacy. The large yard was great for playing outdoor games and it has its own badminton court (well used by our group). A family of deer crossed the yard for a real show of nature. We are definitely going back next year!

Stayed here as a wedding and events planner for a wedding just up the road, and it was quiet, clean, and really well stoked.Stayed in a studio suite, it was perfect, little kitchenette, bigger than normal bathroom, and super cozy bed. The biggest thing is it was super clean.... and I am known to be extremely clean!Will be booking here again for some time to relax and explore Galiano.

If you have a furry friend that likes to tag along, Driftwood is a nice place to stay. Lovely cabins, clean and spacious for 2 (+1) in our case. Location is great with an excellent walkability score (but hey who needs to keep score while exploring and having fun). Would recommend and put this stay on repeat. Thank you !

We had a delightful stay in a quaint cottage, small but big enough. Wonderfully hands-off check-in and out. Door's open. Key on the table. Unmanned office kiosk has books, puzzles, games and useful info about nearby walking trails. Yard badminton a throwback to my youth. Owners are very responsive to any concern. We will be repeat customers.

The thing I like about Galiano is the simplicity of nature, humble atmosphere and natural beauty.We stayed in a lovely studio at Driftwood village and it provided more than anticipated. We arrived an were giving instructions to self check in. We were in awe with how cute the studio was!We were able to have the cabin with a fire stove which really added to our trip. There is heating for the room and the bathroom. The bathroom was much larger than anticipated for a studio and very clean.My partner, who has never experienced Galiano, fell in love with the space and the island. Thank you Driftwood for being a part of our adventure!We will miss you

I wanted to book some cottages for the weekend of my wedding and was sent this response after being told that they didn't cater to weddings. I responded that I was just looking to book for some of my guests and received this response:Yes Hayley, I completely understand the situation. Our problem is that we have many regulars, our cottages are very unique and very sought after, often for several days or a week or two at a time, and we have no problem renting all summer—we don’t need the spillover wedding business, which we find brings its own unique set of problems. So we are taking a wait and see attitude until the spring; we are already filling up steadily with our regulars, and don’t want to book out our weekends prematurely. Hope you understand.I find this very unprofessional, and I feel very discriminated against. I'm an adult woman looking for regular accommodations for my adult guests and I am wanting to book far in advance. My guests are no more likely to do damage to the cottages than any other regular customer. I am offering my business, don't ask me to wait in case something better comes along.
