U-Haul Neighborhood Dealer

Should have no stars, unfortunately I have to give at least one.Awful experience. For starters I booked a 10 foot truck, got there they only had a 15 foot. Not a big deal they should have honoured their agreement price for a 10 foot. They refused too, I asked them to call a uhaul manager or customer care to prove that policies of uhaul has changed. They called the store owner who then argued with me.I called uhaul myself had to have them explain to the store what uhaul a policies are.They also didn’t know how to read my Ontario license? Like what?They then tried to charge me their estimated amount for the uhaul. Fully on my credit card after I explained to them that I will not be paying with a credit card as it’s a small $500 credit card. That I was told at the time of booking through uhaul that they would put a small hold of no more than $70 on my credit card and I can pay either cash or debit at the time on return.They tried to charge my credit card almost $700 when it clearly states on uhaul website they will not charge more that $500 on any credit card. That if amount due is more than $500 customer will have to provide an alternate form of payment for rest of amount.They also refused to take my debit visa, when it also states on uhaul website that customer can use a debit visa to put a hold on. I tried this route when they wouldn’t bring the hold amount down for me, I was trying to be accommodating and they wouldn’t work with me, we had to call customer care back and have them explain again how uhaul works.We’ll see how the return of the uhaul goes to the same place.Worst experience ever.
