I went to get some work done on a new exhaust system and catalytic converter on my vehicle. The replaced the exhaust system without issue, but a slew of problems started to happen with the catalytic converter a week after they replaced it. It was rattling and knocking when I drove the vehicle. I brought the car back, and they mentioned that they had to charge me about $350 since the catalytic converter was covered by warranty, but the labour was not. I reluctantly paid them for the labour, and they replaced the catalytic converter (which I paid originally $1,000 - $1,500 for). My experience with other shops is.. if something is not done right, the shop makes it right because I originally paid for a repair.A few months later the catalytic converter that they replaced (for the 2nd time that I paid $350 labour for them to replace a part under warranty) started rattling again. I brought it to another shop and they said it was faulty, which cost me an additional $2,000 to replace.Very disappointed in the poor materials for catalytic converter that the Auto Shoppe purchased, and also unhappy that I was charged for labour to replace something that should have originally done properly.

New owners at Auto Shoppe, I must say Todd and the guys are amazing. I have been a client going on 3 years at the Auto Shoppe, I Wasn’t sure if it was going to be the same with new owners, I am very pleased. They are knowledgeable, Todd takes the time to explain everything, no up sells. And Carmen at the front desk is courteous, and friendly and it’s a very friendly welcome environment, especially if you’re a female, your definitely not being taken Advantage of, I also see many seniors as customers and noticed while waiting for my car that they’re not being taken advantage of. Honestly the best car repair establishment in Barrie.

Resident of Barrie - brought my BMW in for a gas leak as I could smell gas on right side. Long story short I over filled it when it was -25C and it leaked out the over flow - Todd the owner advised there are no leaks... anyway they could have said you need a new whatever Gas Filter or Broken line... so minimal charge nice that they are honest.Next day, I brought my Mercedes 350E for brake work front brakes were pulling to one side ... anyway thought this would be a huge expense they reported that the rear brakes are fine and again fair charge for new pads and rotors. Most of the time they just replace all 4 and costs a fortune. The best thing of living in a small community like Barrie is finding an Honest Auto Shop, really impressed and greatly appreciate the excellent service.

Best place to go I’ve been yet to handle car issues. I’ve been to them a couple of times. Always very informative, and always reasonable with prices. If you need a mechanic that’s trustworthy and does a great job this is the place to go! Everyone’s very nice as well and awnsers any questions you may have or are unsure of!

I've used this company for years until my most recent time bringing the vehicle there, didn't get great service at all and they didnt seem to care about the damages done to my vehicle while in their possession. In fact told me to come get the vehicle off of their property after it was vandalized on the property. Wont go back to this one

I can’t thank the Auto Shoppe enough for their amazing service. Will went above and beyond to save me literally thousands of dollars and called my dealership to double check if the repairs I needed done would be covered under my warranty- which they were! He helped me sort everything out which he definitely did not have to do and I am so grateful. This is an honest and trustworthy business that does quality and reliable work. Would recommend to anyone I know!

Todd and his team are amazing! My 2016 Jeep starting making loud noises that were made worse with acceleration. I was able to get an appointment quickly and when I brought it in they got right to work. They fixed it on the spot and the pricing for work was VERY reasonable. I had them look at another issue and they were honest with the issue was and what my options were and what the costs involved would be - I never felt at any point pressured to make a decision. I would highly recommend The Auto Shoppe and will certainly be back again when needed.

The Auto Shoppe on Toronto St. has been helping keep our old Mercedes on the road for close to 400,000 km and counting. They have a great team; from the front desk to the service bays, friendly and courteous. They are fast, efficient, with reasonable service rates. Thank you for the excellent service.

Does a honest and fair auto repair shop still exist today ?Well, this place made me a believer, here's a short story :Brakes were making a little noise, so I brought it to Canadian Tire and then the dealership as well. Both places said I needed full brake replacement, rotors, pads etc. Both places quoted me over $1200 ( I have disc brakes front and back )Not satisfied with this I decided to try out The Auto Shoppe. The staff were friendly, and my technician Mechanic Kyle" was very friendly and informative. He did a quick check and even showed me that the brakes in general were fine and that all I needed was the front pads replaced and a simple service on the rear brakes. The result ... $350 compared to $1200+ I was quoted at the other shops.Since that experience
