Kayak Ontario

I managed to get in on the last Level 1 Sea Kayak course by Kayak Ontario this past weekend. Mike was an excellent instructor, patient, knowledgeable, capable and fun. We all learned so much in two days. And we felt safe in his care. If you are looking to get into this excellent sport I highly recommend these folks. I'll be talking to Aaron about Level 2 next year.

I did the level 1 at Lion's Head. Aaron and Paul were great instructors. Lot's of fun and lot's of learning. It was a great experience and I highly recommend the course. Even though rolling is not part of the course, they both helped me give it a few tries for fun! (not there yet) Looking forward to level 2!

Just completed Level 1 Kayak course and have to say what an amazing experience. Aaron and Iza were fantastic, ensuring no matter what level of experience you had they made you feel comfortable to learn at your pace. Their enthusiasm and celebration of your progression made you want to keep going! Thanks Aaron and Iza , I learned so much and know that the new skills will keep me safer and a better kayaker!

Went on a social paddle with Kayak Ontario and took a Paddle 1 course. Met some awesome people and Aaron (instructor / guide) is really easy to get along with. Felt welcomed despite not being particularly great at kayaking. Will be joining them again next summer!

Aaron, & Mike put on a great 2 day certification Kayak level 1 course! Very informative, patient, considerate, kind! Over all it was a awesomely great experience, and I can't wait to book my next course with them!

Just finished a pool course.Time & money well spent.Simply awesome.Aaron and Brandon inspired confidence in this novice kayaker. Fantastic to be taken from being apprehensive about capsizing" to "practicing proper rescue & getting back on board safely". PLUS attempting rolls. I am over 60 but believe with Aaron's instructions I might be able to complete a roll even if my hips don't move like Shakira. This definitely left me wanting another lesson.Added bonus

WOW! I just returned from a 2 day eye-opening level 1 Sea Kayaking course with Kayak Ontario. Aaron and Kelly are INCREDIBLE instructors. They are knowledgeable, patient and fun(ny). I went into Level 1 with ZERO knowledge about kayaking and the rules of the water, I'm now confident with the skills I've learned. Thank you to Aaron and Kelly for spending time with me to build my confidence and reassuring me during the course. Lion's Head is a wonderful place to take the course. I highly recommend Kayak Ontario for any level courses and I can't wait to join 1 of the trips. Thank you! I loved my indoor lessons so much I booked 2 more courses!Really great instruction and products from beginner to expert level. 5/5 stars for creating a fun, inclusive and educational space.

Did social paddles and the level 1 course in 2020 with Kayak Ontario. Couldn't have been happier. Knowledgable, fun, safe. Always operated with Covid safety and water safety as priorities. Patient instructors, welcoming to newbies and more experienced paddlers alike. Highly recommend to my friends.

Kayak Ontario was my gateway to the world of kayaking. I took the Paddle Canada Level I course through Kayak Ontario and was not disappointed. I'm constantly being introduced to other kayakers all the while building my paddle skills and learning about new places to explore.
