They sell high quality high end furniture and appliances. We got some amazing coffee cups and other random things. Takes awhile for shipping, but that’s to be expected when you order something from Italy hand crafted.

I have ordered light fixtures twice. One item came with concealed damage on the light shade. The team at GR was really good to work with while getting this issue resolved. Ended up getting a replacement light shade which shipped pretty quick after discovering the issue. It is hard to tell how good an internet store is until you have a problem. These guys resolved the issue to my satisfaction in a timely manner. I would definitely order from them again. Also, their product selection and prices are the best I could find within Canada.

Update--after leaving this review I heard back from the customer service agent at GR shop. While they did reduce the re-stocking fee by half, the lengthy delay (a week plus) in responding to that request, and further delay in processing the refund, were very disappointing. Overall, I found that agent unfriendly, and seemingly more concerned with a negative google review than with the actual quality of service. To top it off, I ended up finding the replacement chair (the Herman Miller Cosm) at another retailer for $500 less than the price at GR..._______________________________________________________________I regard Gabriel Ross as a carrier of premium items, and have enjoyed many of the purchases I've made from their shop. Recently, however, I purchased a desk chair, and the purchasing experience (and ultimate return) was disappointing in several regards, which I will try to describe:1) the order required pick up from their warehouse at 400 Catherine street. When I arrived, I found there was no signage to indicate which warehouse bay was the correct one.2) I attempted to call the number provided in the instruction email (to find out which was the right loading bay), which proved to be an incorrect number.3) I then called the showroom, and was told that the warehouse workers were away from the site (despite having arrived during the hours advised in the email)4) after about 15 minutes, the warehouse staff did arrive.Overall, I found this a frustrating and confusing experience. However, my greater concern was: when I arrived home with the chair, I left the original tags on the chair (there are 2 tags on this chair). I removed two 'zip ties' that hold the adjustable headrest in place, in order to try the chair. After 5 minutes, it was clear that this particular chair (the humanscale freedom) is not up to the caliber I expect from GR shop. Specifically, the arm adjustment is clunky and the armrests feel flimsy and unsturdy, the aluminum finishing is unpolished and uneven, and the chair itself lacks lumbar support.When I initiated the return, I was advised that there would be a 20% restocking fee. I respect that this is a reasonable policy in many circumstances. Here, however I find it disappointing, as the chair was unused, and the only packaging removed were the zip ties, and because I had requested exchange for another product (rather than a refund), in the interest of continuing my patronage of GR shop. I also found that the customer service representative was inconsistently responsive by email, and made no inquiry into my concerns about the quality of product.Ultimately, I'm disappointed, as I had come to expect more from this retailer, as a high end distributor.

I refused a shipment of a item but they still charged me 20% restocking fee (almost $400) for item that was not opened. Which by the way refusing a shipment is NOT mentioned in the return policy .Now they can resell at no extra cost to them. Thats one way of making money. If they were honest and said ya we are not doing that well these days and we need the money, I would have given it to them.I knew there was going to be an issue after reading the first paragraph of the return policy .We want you to love the product you’ve ordered. And we really want any item you buy from us to arrive in absolutely

Wanted to upgrade my desk chair finally so came in looking for something a little more expensive than I would normally spend. The selection was pretty good but I didn't get good service at all. I get that I'm not the biggest spender, but I felt pretty blown off, nobody seemed interested in helping me even though the store wasn't busy. Might as well shop online as usual!

A particular sofa that I have been after for close to a year has been sold out and unavailable in my home country of Australia. I emailed Gabriel Ross with the intention of paying an international shipping fee to get the sofa to Brisbane, AU. GR informed me that they do not offer this shipping method, but the lovely Coralea went to the trouble of putting me in touch with the Australian distributor of the sofa brand, who have now ordered one for me. With no benefit to the Gabriel Ross business, Coralea went out of her way to look in to this for me when she didn't have to, and ultimately helped me to find what I was after. Gabriel Ross is a business with the highest of integrity and care for their customers (even though I purchased nothing from them!) My sincere thanks to you Coralea and Gabriel Ross. Paul

We've been buying from Gabriel Ross online for years. Their taste in modern design is impeccable and there's no replacement for being able to pick up the phone and talk to a real person. They've always been great to deal with.We recently took a trip to Victoria and finally visited the store in person. It's great to be able to see some of those grail pieces by Eames, Wegner and Nelson in person. I got carried away and bought a piece that I couldn't bring back home across the country in our car. I returned to the store a month later and GR shipped it home for us. That's service.

WORT Service Ever.Ordered 2 Herman Millar Crosshatch chairs online in a Taupe coloured wood. I saw the chairs in the store and the salesman did not have the wood samples. He told be to order online and use the colours in the online palette.After waiting for 6 months to receive the chairs they arrived and the wood is green coloured. Contacted the store right away. The person I initially spoke did not seem to care. Just email photos I was told. I called back many times and sent photos via e-mail twice.Yesterday I called to speak to a manager and I was denied. I was told the manager would check that afternoon and someone would get back to me right away. Still no response.It's been almost 3 weeks and I have not had this issue resolved.This is a high end furniture store with extremely poor service. From my experience I would suggest you take your business elsewhere that will provide some customer service.UPDATE: Its been well over a year and I still do not have the correct chairs and the manager does not return my calls.
