G2 is one of the best programs out there for improving your game. Gabe is a real one and puts in the work to make sure he can offer the best to his athletes.

My kids play many sports (hockey, basketball,baseball). This is THE worst program we have ever joined. Unexplained fees for very little training. My kid hardly played in the games. No gear was given to him at all. This is just a cash grab. They play 5 players and the rest are just there for cash grab.

Gabe invited our son to try out for his basketball team even though the team was full, and registration had already closed. After Gabe observed our son play for about an hour, he asked him to register as a player. Registration required a first installment of $619. After we made the payment, the team's full schedule was circulated, and we realized that he could not attend most of the sessions because of prior obligations. We immediately informed Gabe of the issue and requested a refund minus an administration fee that we graciously offered to double because of the inconvenience to the club. Gabe only agreed to refund us $300, stating that the club's policy is to charge a $250 service fee, a $25 admin fee, and $25 for a t-shirt when athletes cannot continue with the team. Charging an athlete $319 for only attending a 1-hour practice is outrageous. We would be much more understanding if there were weeks of training involved. Businesses like this don’t survive long.

Founder Gabriel Gibbs' experience includes playing D1 College basketball and has worked and trained with NBA trainers and players. His no nonsense attitude gets straight to the point with his coaches and players while having a great attention to detail. G2 Athletics is the go to place in the Lower Mainland for player development.

Im American but I lived in Vancouver for over a year, G2 academy to me is the best youth development academy in Vancouver. A fun environment that make sure kids learn the fundamentals of the game as well as having fun and competing. The beauty of this program is that yes children will have fun and make friendships but most importantly they will learn the game of basketball. Coach Gabe and his staff incorporate a plethoras of drills and even motivational tactics to improve each individuals game and confidence , if you come willing to work and are dedicated “improving ya game” is what will happen no matter what level you are; from beginners, to college level and pro!

-didn't participate in the program, only watched them play in a small tournament-the kids on the G2 team were good players-my review is of their leadership, coaches allowed kids to taunt other teams even though the other team was obviously new to the game of basketball-full court pressed throughout the game even when there was no chance of the other team winning-even the scoreboard guy (I'm assuming unaffiliated) was baffled by what the coaches allowed

I will not recommend G2 to any family, my children are in many leagues playing hockey, lacrosse, soccer, rugby, and this league had been the worse 0/10 for the following reasons:1. 0/10 for inspiring new players. We explained at registration that our son was new to basketball and asked if they would place him in a group according to his skills. Coach Gabe agreed and reassured us that they would do that, so we paid the registration fee of $1,275 + $350 for the uniform. We saw our son bench most of the games. He was demoralized and didn't enjoy it, but we were already committed.2. Surprise fees and eliminated practices. We paid a high price to start with, and that included one dryland training outdoors, one training session indoors and one game a week. After a few weeks, the dryland was cancelled and eliminated and never replaced. Then after a few months, G2 started charging for the Saturday indoor practices, and by December, we needed to pay an extra $175 to get to the end of the season, so we agreed. G2 was also charging $5 per game when they had tournaments in Langley, sometimes twice a day, so $10.The end of the season came, and suddenly, another fee of $475 appeared, which they didn't tell us in December when we were asked to pay The $175. We are being threatened to be sent to collections for the $475, for which we had no paper trail that they let us know previously.3. My other son was signed up with the younger children and never got the g2 t-shirt or got reimbursement for it.4. 0/10 for customer service.5. 0/10 very disorganized and poor communication. We didn't know we signed up our son to a la carte basketball.
