Meadowlark Equestrian Center

My family and I were so lucky to have found Meadowlark, and we have had many years of incredible experiences there. Emily is such a caring, gifted and passionate instructor who truly cares about the development of her students and horses. The atmosphere is welcoming, safe and fun for riders of any age or experience level.

I had a lovely time riding at Meadowlark Equestrian Center. The horses and instructors (and my fellow riders!) were all kind and supportive. The health and safety of everyone was taken very seriously. I hope to go back and ride again soon.

I rode when I was kid at a farm in South Lyon. After many years, I wanted to get back into riding. A friend recommended this farm to me and I did a test ride and instantly fell in love. The community is welcoming and drama free and perfect for kids of all ages.Emily and Kay are extremely knowledge horsewomen and their #1 priority is the well-being of their horses! They both have experience in multiple different disciplines of riding.I've been riding with Emily for over 2 years now and I absolutely love it. She continually goes above and beyond in learning all she can about everything horse related.I would recommend this farm to anyone!!! Give it a shot and you won't be disappointed! :)

I am so happy a friend recommended this barn for riding lessons back when I was thirteen. It became my home away from home before I moved to college. Emily was my instructor for many years (and still makes room for me in lessons when I can get out there). She is a phenomenal human being and a patient, knowledgeable horsewoman. She and Kay have impacted so many riders' lives in a positive way and have built a friendly, supportive community of people who love horses and respect each other. This barn will always be a part of my life.

Literally the best place ever. I rode at Meadowlark for 4 years straight and Mrs. Emily is the best trainer I have ever had in my whole life, she was always patient and every lesson I always learned so much. I normally rode Aoife hence the email and she is one of the lesson horses. Meadowlark is that one peaceful calm place that is always there. And Aoife, well she's my favorite horse/being ever.

I've been riding here on and off for over 20 years, and currently board my horse and take lessons at Meadowlark. Emily is a gifted and compassionate instructor and trainer, with a wonderful string of safe, well-educated school horses. My horse has been in training with her for the past year and has shown wonderful progress. The quality of care for horses boarded here is exceptional and customized to meet each horse's needs; the barn managers care for every horse like their own. I couldn't ask for better for my mare. The barn community is kind and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Meadowlark is such a warm and welcoming community for riders of all ages, disciplines and backgrounds. I have been a part of the Meadowlark community for 16 years and continue to watch the community and facilities grow and flourish. The facilities are well kept, and feature both an indoor and outdoor arena as well as over 50 acres of trails. Nothing not to love!

I've been a boarder at Meadowlark since 2012. I've grown so much as a rider with Emily's help. We're also so lucky to have many high quality visiting trainers. In 2015, I bought my current horse from her lesson program and have been progressing ever since.All our boarders and kind and non snobby, and honestly I don't know where I'd be without my Meadowlark family!

Since I began taking lessons and riding the trails at Meadowlark in 2013, I've lost 20 pounds and gotten off my blood pressure meds...seriously. It has become my happy place: tranquil and drama-free. Kay and Emily are excellent instructors who really know their stuff, and their horses are all beautiful and wonderfully cared-for. Can't say enough good things about this place!

I've been riding here for something like 11 or 12 years (I had to count a couple times to believe it!), and I don't think I could enjoy riding at another barn as much as do at Meadowlark with Emily! Everyone out here are super friendly and helpful, which makes for a great atmosphere.I've been able to learn a lot during my time riding at Meadowlark. Emily is super patient and is always coming up with new ways to help me further my understanding of horses and how to improve the performance of both the horse and I.I would recommend Meadowlark for both new and return riders!
