Costco Tire Center

In the past I have enjoyed my experience within the tire center. Staff were more than helpful when purchasing my winter tires and walked me through it all. However this season was a completely different experience all together. Firstly, I was waiting on two new tires that were covered under warranty. I went in to see what was taking so long, to find out they had came in but were nowhere in the store, I was told they were probably put on someone else's vehicle. The staff member I spoke to was super apologetic and reassured me they would be in the following week. A week later, I came in for my appointment and the manager working this time had nothing but attitude. I had some questions (I have no knowledge in the vehicle department) which were answered with snappy/short comments. I am hard of hearing and with his accent I had to get him to repeat a couple of things. This was obviously super annoying to him, and he walked away with my keys. I stood there with my 3 kids for sometime before asking another employee if he was coming back or was I free to go shop. I'm not sure if he's always like that or it was an off day but everyone in the tire center was feeling it, both staff and customers.

My experience at the Peterborough Costco Tire Centre was OK but improvements could definitely be made. I booked an oil change and a tire swap from winter to summer tires. After bringing my winter tires back home, I noticed they did not mark my tires for rotation which has always been completed anywhere else I’ve got my tires changed. This could cause uneven wear on my tires that is not necessary. Additionally, after changing my oil, I expected them to reset my oil service indicator light but they did not. These are both things I feel are basic parts of these services that were missing. Although I saved money, I am not satisfied with the overall quality of service and don’t think I’ll be returning. That being said, the people at the desk were good.

Very bad service. They ruined my tires when I had the winter ones put on. Had to pay the mechanic $600 to fix. Costco did pay me back for that which was nice. Annoying that when they told me I had to go to mechanic they didn't accept blame for ruining my tires right away.

What's the point of making an appointment when they either take too many or put in people who did make an appointment. Waited over 2 hours for my snow tires to be put on after being quoted 1 hour. Ridiculous. At least give me a more appropriate wait time.

Had exceptional service at the tire centre with the installation of new snow tires. Chad went to great lengths to resolve an issue with a faulty tpms. I will definitely use the tire centre in the future for my business.

The staff were super nice (can't stress this enough, as helpful as they could be) but the service was just terrible. I had a booked timeslot and when I got there they said they were 45 minutes behind schedule, but after checking told me a lift would be open in five minutes and to come back in half an hour to 45 minutes. I came back an hour later and was told it would be another 15 minutes. I came back 15 minutes later and waited in line behind 2 other people and the wait just to get my keys was 25 minutes. The front counter is grossly understaffed, you can't get an appointment without booking online because nobody answers the phone most of the time. It's not worth the savings, I waited an hour and 45 for a tire change over for mounted sets, as simple as it gets. Appointment times are as meaningful as appointments at a doctor's office. I will not come back for service of any kind.

Great service. They went above and beyond what a typical tire shop would do. I did have to wait a little bit longer than I wanted to but they had six people working in the shop so I can’t knock them. Don’t expect them to answer the phone as all of the guys are in the shop working. Will get my next set of tires from Costco.

Went in to store, they referred me to online to place my order as nothing was in stock. The only option online they're giving me for my model are the wrong size wheels. They don't answer the phone. Tried 4 times, no voicemail either. Will be taking my business to Kal Tires instead.

Worst service you could get. Just go to Kaltire.

Tried phoning them 4 times within the space of a couple hours and no one picks up the phone; it is not possible to leave a VM either. It's like they don't want my business...very frustrating.
