Eat and Drink Like a European!

I signed up for the Ireland 2022 experience. As a single traveler what interested me in this particular tour company was the smaller group size (and the well rounded itinerary)! This was one of the best decisions I have made in my life.Prior to the trip you will be emailed a comprehensive itinerary with local suggestions for food, drink, and entertainment. Responses to my questions were answered in a timely manner.There was a total of 11 travelers on my tour and over half had taken an Eat and Drink Like a European Tour previously. All repeat travelers had plans to take another tour with this company in 2023. I have already placed my deposit down for summer travel in 2023 and look forward to making more friends.Craig was our tour guide and he has a gift for creating a welcoming, inclusive, and fun atmosphere within the group. The tour was a perfect mix of guided food, drinks, and local history. Free time to self-explore is also built into the itinerary, which I appreciated. Not only did I have a blast the whole time - I also left with a deeper understanding (and appreciation) of Ireland's history and culture.I have been recommending this company to my family and friends ever since I have been back. The memories I have are invaluable to me. I feel anyone would be able to appreciate this unique experience.

Eat and Drink like a European tours are by far the best tours I’ve ever been on. They offer small groups that allow access to many places larger groups can’t go and easy mobility from location to location. The tours are led by super knowledgeable guides who can easily answer questions and converse about everything in the areas we visited. The food, the drink, the history, the architecture, one should get some kind of educational credit for going on tours with these guys :-) Craig and the other guides know all the best places to see, eat and drink and they’ve never let us down. One of the best aspects of these tours it that they are so “Hands Free” once you arrive. everything is taken care of for you, transportation, meals,, admission fees, specialty guides, you name it. There’s so much peace of mind it makes the tour an incredibly comfortable and enjoyable experience. And, of course there’s always some free time for you to go and do what you want and explore on your own if you want. Many of the places you stay are in urban environments so going out on your own becomes just another part of the fun.We are putting our money where our mouth is here as we’ve already done three Eat and Drink Like a European tours in the last six years and are planning our fourth :-) We like the tours so much that we recruit friends to join us so we have a tour de force but we also enjoy meeting new people and still keep in touch with folks from our very first tour. We’re looking forward to our next tour with old friends and new :-)

We’ve been on two tours so far and they were nothing short of amazing. Our first tour was the Grand Tour of Europe in 2014. Craig’s passion for history and Europe shines through as he brings all the historical sites to life. His knowledge of Europe’s history is incredible. The hotels are great and the food and drinks were just amazing. From hiking some of the most beautiful places in the world to the behind the scenes tours of sites like the Eiffel Tower this trip really exceeded our expectations. We really loved the small group.Next up was the Ultimate Beer tour in 2019. Holy Cow! This trip was as awesome as our last. From learning the history of beer, how it’s made and it’s importance in Europe and of course tasting the amazing beer. Learning the history of the incredible towns, villages and monasteries was so much fun. Once again the hotels and food were incredible. There’s not enough words to describe how much fun this tour was. I would wholeheartedly recommend any of Craig’s tours and we are looking forward to our next trip.Larry and Chrissy

We have done the Ultimate Beer tour, Best of England,Best of Ireland, Northern Italy, and Sacred Heart Italy. The tours are amazing. You’ll eat delicious European food and possibly partake in some of Europes finest beverages. You see everything you would expect and more. Craig takes you off the beaten path to see places you wouldn’t have. He’s informative and has a great personality. After five tours I would highly recommend this company. If you’re looking for a good adventure with fun people , look no further.

I was lucky enough to join the Ultimate Beer Tour in 2016 which included visiting Oktoberfest in Munich at the end of the tour. Craig's group did a wonderful job of scheduling fantastic sights as well as gastronomic wonders. I enjoyed the trip so much that I've become friends with Craig on Facebook and have been pestering him for a trip that includes the Alps over the past few years. Well, thankfully, Craig has added this to his offerings and I placed my deposit the day the package was made available. Can't wait to tour Europe with Craig and the crew in August of 2023. I would recommend his tours for anyone who wants to truly experience Europe and all the wonders that it offers.

Amazing experience! Craig puts together a fantastic itinerary that ensures you will see some of the classic things you would expect to, as well as unique experiences that get you off the beaten path a bit, all while leaving you plenty of free time to do your own exploring. Craig partners with the best guides and services, and keeps the groups small and intimate. I've always been hesitate to do tour group style travel, but Eat and Drink Like a European opened my eyes to how fun, and relaxing, it can be when done right. I look forward to going on another trip with Craig and company in the future.

Craig is a masterful tour orchestrator. It was such a gift to show up for our trip, knowing all the tickets were purchased and plans were thoughtfully made. Having done most of the tours on Craig's current website (just waiting for that Spain one to be added!!!) I can confidently share that Eat and Drink Like a European's tours are the most fun you could possibly have on a guided trip in Europe. The groups are small, the guides are friendly, fun, and know their stuff, the experiences are varied and always fascinating (especially if you're a history buff like me), and the food and beer and wine is outstanding, as you should expect from a company with this name!
