Used to love this place back when it was open 24 hours. Now you get to shop for over priced food with a security" goof following you around the store."

I just left this store and will not be returning under any circumstance while “security” guards are active. Especially the one White male working on Monday June 19th. The fella with the large beard whose always smiling is a favourite of mine though, and I enjoy seeing him :)I frequent to this store and haven’t seen him until today, when he visited starbucks. Had your security guard had any observational skills he would have seen the numerous $7 drinks I had purchased, and I very clearly would have not tried to steal a $3 item, But I think he was a little too busy playing with his velcro and pacing the store to show off his size too small vest.I went in to get snacks for my younger brother and I, when my mother messaged me and said she would pay instead.(Please note- There were two adults who blatantly snuck under the chains at checkout with tote bags full of items and left without any punishment-)I put said snacks down and left, and as I was leaving the Security followed me OUT of the store and flagged me down. Admittedly I ignored him the first time because I didn’t know he was speaking to me. But when I did turn around he stormed up to me with his hand over his belt as if he was going to pull something on me. I’ve experienced police brutality before, and I was afraid. This action definitely felt race targeted, a scare tactic. This man asked me where i had “put the candy bar.”My brother is diabetic and I am morbidly lactose intolerant.not to mention I only saw him once and it was when he was staring me down over the shelves in the alcohol section, which I had never done anything to entice in the first place.I told him I hadn’t once touched a candy bar, and that I definitely did not have one, I didn’t even look at the chocolate; and he fully looked me up and down and sneered. Sneered. At me as if I had robbed the entire building. There was an employee sitting outside as well, though I didn’t catch their face, and i’m sure they saw this happen.I’m not sure if this was a race and/or gender issue, but I am a black female. I’m also not sure if it was because of my behaviours because I’m also autistic (This information is known throughout the cashier employees.) and did not have my service dog present with me this night, and sometimes I can walk in circles and mindlessly stare at things; however I know I absolutely did not touch any candy bars. This was simply a figment of his imagination.I requested he checks inventory (or cameras and he looked me up and down as if sizing me up (I am quite literally 17, 5’5 and 100 lbs) scoffed and said “Yeah, we will. See you soon.”Never in my life have I been disrespected by someone with such a huge superiority complex that he felt the need to follow someone out of a store over something that never happened (Must be one bored dude.) when there were two grown people who stole bags full of items right before me. But based on what I saw, he was too focused on me and this “Candy bar” to notice. It would also be absurd of me as a regular, with friends inside the store, to steal.

A couple suggestions/optionsPeppers- the red peppers were priced at over 5 dollars a pound, which I was willing to pay however, could’t find one that was in a condition I’d buy. The green peppers were on sale but was the same situation. Disappointing and this isn’t the first time which is why I’m mentioning it. If the price higher then average, the quality should be higher as wellSelf checkout- the organic banana don’t scan but have a bar code to scan, maybe there is a reason but would be less of a chance someone just pays for regular bananas if the barcode was acknowledged in the system. It’s an easy mistake for customers to makeOn a positive note- the wine and Deli staff were fantastic, friendly and attentive. Store visit date April 22, 2023, around 5:00

I have shopped this Sobeys for years and I enjoy for its diversity of products they have there. Their health food section is quite robust. They're a little more expensive than most though which is the only drawback for me. Staff there are friendly and helpful. The store is kept clean and it's definitely following covid guidelines. The potato scallion bread is amazing!

Absolutely terrible place to shop, produce is generally rotten or will be in a matter of days, it seems they allow their produce to freeze as many times I have come across icy items. prices are higher than everywhere, deli counter just piles your cold cuts in one massive pile then jams it into a bag.Meat counter cuts look like they are done at a school for the blind and handless.Cashiers have no sense of urgency, and considering they generally only have 1 cash open, you can spend over 15 minutes trying to cash out.I think the only thing they have right in this place is their frozen foods are frozen...I bought these strawberries today...

I had to order some platters for a Work Training that I was arranging catering for. They were wonderful and looked amazing, Val was so easy to connect with as a Manager and was super helpful with making sure all of our needs were met. Would highly recommend for any upcoming event you might need platters for. The chocolate covered strawberries were delicious!
